Not meant to be

In songs

I'm feeling hurt,
like I'm not worth a thing
and if I died today
would you even miss me?

You made your choice,
you also made mine
You treat me like a little kid
and it's not worth my time.

Chorus
_______
I'm tired
of being put down
I'm tired
of being bossed around.

And honestly
lets be honest we
were never meant to be.

for the last time.

Chorus
_______
I'm tired
of being put down
I'm tired
of being bossed around.

And honestly
lets be honest we
were never meant to be.

Not you and me
We just don't work
We aren't compatible

You like to be in charge
I like thinking on my own.

I'm feeling hurt,
like I'm not worth a thing
and if I died today
would you even miss me?

I don't think you would
So I'm cutting the ties
It's time to say goodbye
And use my own mind

Chorus
_______
I'm tired
of being put down
I'm tired
of being bossed around.

And honestly
lets be honest we
were never meant to be.

I really liked the song, but I had a hard time putting it into my head right. I tried kinda a rock sound, then slower with a hard chorus, then even rap. They all worked, and thats what is great about it! I really don't think there was any part of this song I didn't like, or at least disliked.
P.S.: I can totally relate. That is another thing that makes it awesome.

Hello!
Im Serenya!
I really like this very much. I like all the emotional stuff like this. A lot of people go through the same feeling most likely more then once. Commonly those people listen to music to be a way of expressing those feelings. I think these are just the right words to help others process what one is feeling.

This is a great song. I think it is supposed to be a short song except you have the chorus repeating I think you should just write back to the chorus or back to the verse.

i like your idea and your way of writing and it's true what you have said because you can find a lot of realtionships where they try to make their relation work even when they know that they never meant to be together , you are here talking about how you both have a different personalities and how he treat you so bad and he don't let you feel worth or precious and actually that happened in a lot of relationships,so it is nice to bring this up because it can help a lot of people...:)

I could hear this -- some angry, fast pop song.
Now, I've never reviewed song lyrics from you, I don't think, so I don't know your history with writing or lyric writing or anything, but I'm wondering what kind of genre you're going for? I don't know if it's my lack of favorite bands -- honestly, this all might be personal preference, so take it as you will -- but it seems like pop songs can get away with lack of imagery and metaphor 'cause they're meant to just speak to the population.

That said, I still think this song could be better if you tried to take the subject of the lyrics away from yourself and blamed it on an outside force -- singing "you" instead of "I". Think about it. The way you have it now, you're singing about JUST YOU to the thousands of people who might potentially listen. If, however, you changed the lyrics to focus on the YOU -- the offending party -- plenty of people would be like, "Yeah, this is exactly what I'm thinking. I can sing this, too!"

In addition to that, you'd have to move away from saying, "I'm hurt!" to saying what the other person did to hurt you. What's the problem that you're singing about. It's way more interesting for people to listen to what a guy did wrong to you and nod their heads in agreement, than to listen to you say, "I'm hurt, I'm sad, I don't like this guy." Whenever you tell your friends you're feeling bad, don't they always want to know why? It's a little like you're gossiping to us through song, so give us the details!

Good luck. :) I hope you keep writing and improving!
