Even if you want to be mine.
Because if I said you and I are friends,
I would be lying.

The friendship we had died a while ago.
I don’t think we should be friends at all.
I don’t consider you my friend, but I know that’s how you consider me.

But friendship will never work.
I wish I could tell you why I don’t want to be friends,

When I first read this poem, I thought you were talking about toxic friends. But as I got closer to the end of the poem, I realized that you're talking about how much you want to be lovers with someone, not just their friend. I feel like we all have that one best friend that we actually want to be with.

Hey, Hop! good work! I like the way you introduce the poem as a hate-filled one, when really, as you reveal later, it's quite the opposite! I also like how in the last two paragraphs, you italicize the word "Friend", showing how the word starts to weigh on your mind. I also have no constructive criticism for you, so good job on that! all in all, great poem! Keep writing!
