When they said, "don't follow me,"
I didn't follow.
`
When they said, "don't look,"
I didn't look.
`
When they said, "you don't know what real love is,"
I believed them.
`
When you told me, "I love you,"
I stared.
`
When you asked if I loved you back,
I said I didn't know what true love is; they told me so.
`
So when you left me,
I didn't follow,
I didn't watch you leave,
and I didn't love myself.

Hey, yo, Percybeth! Strange here on this fantastic Review Day and I have a review for you!
I honestly have to admit, I really liked this poem. I thought it was great just because of the lines it covered. This is actually a common theme, but you wrote this poem from the other side than it is usually written about.
I did like the narrator's point of view. How they followed what society says "Not all love is true" and all that baloney. Heck, I even say that! I like how it ruined the narrator, showing that sometimes you should just follow your heart, not your mind. I think that is the best message in this poem and it is well delivered. This had to be my favorite part out of all of it.
You have to go where your heart goes, lady!
Overall, great job.
Strange gives you..
8.9/10
Good job,
Keep writing,
Stay groovy, my friend.

Hello.
Kanome here with a short review for you.
This has made me sad :c
I don't know what true love is either because I have never experienced it.
I feel a special connection with this piece because of it.
I really like this format..
Because, in your piece, you are talking about different topics, so spacing them out is a great way to go from topic to topic.
Other than that, I don't see any grammar or content errors as far as I know of.
Keep up the great work.
I can't wait to read more c:
Hi Percybeth, Sherri here to review.

Even though I didn't see any errors, and a few people have already reviewed... I couldn't help it! I had to let you know how much I loved this!
It's really sad, but pretty true. As I was reading, I couldn't help but wonder what point you would make. The fact that the last stanza includes the ideas of all the previous ones wrapped it up nicely for me, and--as sad as it is--you couldn't have ended better! Beautiful overall
Great job on this! Keep on writing these inspirational, gorgeous poems! I love them
Thank you so much for this. The entire time reading, I was smiling and I'm grateful for that. Thank you.

Hi! Since I won't be having much to say, this is going to be a short review. Anyways!
Except this is a lot bigger.
I loved the struggle and confusion flung in here. And, along with that, the last stanza really was sad and deepening. The questions and the reaction to them were sad, yet I could also relate to it so well. I'm not sure, but like when someone teases me, y'know, an then you get so freaking mad and something ends up bad. It sort of relates to this is in a way, I guess.
I don't hve much to say, unfortuneatly. I thought this poem was simple and clear to understand, and the flow was very smooth.
The only problem I had was with the commas. I'm not completely sure if they're in the correct spot or not, I mean, they might be, but they just look like they're in the wrong spot.
Again: I am not sure if you're using them correctly soooo....
Anyways, keep writing! I love your poetry!

Thank you for this review! I actually added the commas right before I published this because I thought that maybe it was wrong without them? Not sure, I'll look it up.
Thanks!
No problem! And yeah- I'm not sure. xD
To start out, the first stanza had some grammatical error. Instead of, "I didn't following," it should be "I didn't follow." Other than that, I don't have any problems with this poem. It is real and shows the true struggles of love and hate. I can see the battle with yourself, trying to decide what is right. Whether it be to go against your gut and do what you've been told, or to ignore what you've always been taught. The ending of going with what you've been taught is perfect, due to the fact that is what most people would do in this situation.
Great job, and I'm excited to see what you have in store for us.
Thank you! I must have read right over that (several times apparently)! Haha. Thanks!
You're welcome, and don't worry about it. Everyone does it at least once.
