Hello Ley! It's Serrurie, here to leave a review! Let's dive in:
The Good Stuff
- This is a lovely poem that I think we see happen too much in the world. People get stressed out about not fitting in and by fitting in, they completely lose themselves, acting differently around different people, all so their social circle expands. I think you did great at conveying those emotions in this; always disguising yourself as someone you're not only to keep whispering inside yourself 'this isn't who I am'. And I hope that this didn't actually happen to you.
- I think the opening stanza is very interesting- before we start reading anything, we start with YOU looking in the mirror- and reading what feels like a distant, disappointment, one that's strong but has been there for a while.
Room For Improvement
- Honestly, Ley, you never really need to improve your poems (and this is no exception). Maybe after reading so many of them I'm biased, but you really are a great poet <3
- This was another great poem that explores a lot of emotions that a lot of us commonly feel. I hope you have a wonderful, blessed day.
Happy writing!

This is my first review, but hopefully it's up to par.
Wow, this poem gave me chills!! When I read this, I felt like I was really experiencing the raw emotions of the character. The emotive language used is strong and portrayed the character's longing extremely well. I don't usually read poetry, but I was really drawn to this one!
