i thought the sun had died long ago, but then you came back.

Both Skyla as Larkin are facing a hard decision. No one is sure what to do, but as flashbacks come back, they make a decision. (Valentine Special <3)

You made me cry and then yelled at me for crying.

Both Skyla and Larkin lost their Darling. Will things tear them apart or will they stick together and fight it?

Sometimes tears are only tears. Sunsets are only sunsets. And my freckles are not a map of constellations that will help me find you again.

all I did was apologize for getting blood on her carpet.

​The monkeys and bears and tears blur together. This poem is the theme of my next poetry novel.
