In Poems

Passion is a flame

Which, if remains untamed,

Will become the greatest blaze.

Hello again! I really like your poetry! I keep coming back for more!

This poem is really so simple and straight-forward that this won't be much of a review...

I like the metaphor in this poem, that passion is a flame.

The idea behind this poem is simple enough for anybody to understand, but is really deep and meaningful if someone were to really take the time to analyze it. Passion can be something beautiful, like at a wedding, when two people come together to share their passion for one another. But, if they don't tame their passion, they'll end up fighting because one of them is too clingy(or something like that). Or, if they do tame it, they can stay in love for years and years and years. On the other hand, it can be dangerous. If a 30-year-old stalker has a real passion for a fifteen year-old, things can turn bad real fast if they don't tame their passion. There are two sides to every story.

I really liked this poem, thanks for sharing!

Happy Review Day!

This is a really great poem. I love these short poems, to be honest I like shorter poems better than longer ones. Unlike everyone else, a short is equally as much a poem, a poem is an art, and you hit the nail on the head with this one. The way you compared passion to a flame and then built on that is really quite phenomenal. It didn't have any issues whatsoever, it was absolutely perfect. Good job and keep writing :) -Hsarver

Thanks Hsarver!

hey alfonso!

This is not a poem, it is a single thought. so better to elongate a bit. maybe in two or three different paras (three lines in each para). i suggest you to work on this piece because your starting is impressive you can make more efforts in this. you have started it with great stuff, now it look good when you make it in larger format.

i hope you take my suggestion seriously.

overall nice.

Hi Rishabh, I think you are clearly misunderstanding the concept of poetry. Also, I noticed you have a plethora of grammatical errors in your reviews, which I find puzzling. This IS a poem, for there is no certain length requirement in this form or expression and ART. Also, there are no paragraphs in poetry, they are called "stanzas". I have a feeling that your first language may not be English? I hope you consider limiting your reviews until you have a further understanding of what you are reviewing...I hope this doesn't come off as harsh, I'm here to help you in any way you can! Feel free to send me a message! :)

This actually quite marvelous. I basically have nothing to review...
I give this poem a 10/10, Fantastic.
It's usually so hard to do well on a short poem. What's your secret?
Keep Writing!

Thanks. I don't really have a secret, I just write what comes to my mind and try to make it rhyme..

Hello, Kay Fortnight here to review your piece:)

I like that this poem is simple and clear with no extraneous lines. Sometimes I feel like my and others' poetry tends to ramble to a degree, and you have no unnecessary words here.

I admit this isn't a very good review because I can't think of anything that needs improving, so if you want more criticism, you might want to PM one of the YWS poetry giants like Hannah.

Thank you!

Hey, Cheetah here to review your poem!

I'm usually not that into short poems, but I really liked this one. The message was simple, clear, and to the point. The first line sets things up, the second adds mystery, and the third wraps things up. Well done! :)

Thanks for the review Cheetah!
