Farewell

Farewell

.

You spread your wings and flew so high,

I never thought I'd see you die.

Yet here I am, I say goodbye,

My angel, fallen from the sky.

Hello! Guess what? I'm back again! People might think that I'm stalking you because of how many times I reviewed your work toady...I assure you, it's only that I love your writing so much! You have a talent to say so much in such a short amount of time.

While I loved it dearly, it didn't have much behind it, this one. It doesn't seem to have a hidden meaning. I would love to see this extended, though, maybe with more emotion. This poem seems to have no emotion at all, almost passive. Unless that's what you're going for, I suggest talking more about the pain of saying goodbye. Show us how it looked when they spread their wings to fly, or how tiny they looked way up there from the earth below.

To be honest, I felt no emotion from this poem. And if a poem or story doesn't make me feel anything, have strong emotions, move me, or make me think long and hard about something, then it's just not what I'm looking for.

This poem really does has a lot of potential, but it just didn't grab me like the rest of them did. The rhyme and rhythm weren't forced, so that was good. Keep working on it! I'd love to see it if you ever change it!

Happy Review Day!

Hello. Molly here for the review. I liked the poem a lot, but I didn't feel that it had much depth to it. The imagery you are using also seemed to be immensely repeated though out many poems that I have reviewed and read. Creativity was about a 5/10. The idea and brainstorming or this was really really good though! I like it a lot, but the words feel weird in my mouth. Though, that may just be me. I hope you don't take this too seriously. Keep trying, the poem has a lot of potential.

Keep writing.

Molly

Thanks for reviewing!

It's good and it's obviously got a lot of potential. There really is not much for me to say expect that you should give it a few more stanza's. The only danger in that is that you might over do it and make it wordy. In any case, I'd like to see more poems like this one and I wish you luck in your writing endeavors. :)

Thanks! I just wanted to write a shorter poem so I didn't want to add more stanzas.

Wow, for a short poem it is very impacting. To start, the topic of a farewell is a very often used one, but you did really well expressing what we all go through when we lose someone. I see no faults with it. I wish had more to say, but because it is small it is hard to review. Keep writing! :) -Hsarver

Thanks Hsarver!

I like this.A lot.I want it tattooed on my face,or my hand so i could look at it all the time,it would be hard to see on my face.I really like this though, its so sad and beautiful.I am crying right now,it reminds me of lotsa sad stuff but im glad. This is a nice thing that makes me happy-sad.(this is a review, but im using my cell phone so i cant change the thingy)
