and in the midst of all the white,
a green leaf clung to a tree branch.
reminding me that it was all over
and spring was back again.

Hello there, happy review day! Crim here to review your poem.
I'd stumbled across this poem a few times last night and have finally got around to giving it a review! Apologies in advance, reviewing short poems is not really my forte (I find them extremely hard to write so I tend to keep them at arms length in general) but I shall try my very best to give a review that does your poem justice!
Firstly, kudos to you for writing a four liner that was interesting and neither confusing nor too simple. I have to disagree with Subtle's comment because I actually thought that the 'and' as a starting word was quite effective because it almost lead me into the poem rather than being dragged into it.
I also really liked that it was written in first person, as it gave it a sort of melancholy yet nostalgic feel to it, which is almost never a bad thing in poetry!
However, the only small issue I have with it was the 'back again'. It almost seemed like the word 'back' was the same as 'again' and it just dragged me out of the poem a little. 'Back' is also a fairly sharp word that seemed to contradict with the whole notion of spring when I read it in my head. I'd perhaps suggest changing the word 'back' to 'here'?
Other than that, I think this poem is absolutely lovely and describes the return of spring very effectively in only four lines. Take care and keep writing,
Crim
Thank you Crim!
Hi!
This is a great poem with lots of mystery and awe. I can almost feel the chill of winter.
The work is very short and sweet. It gets it point across with ease and is a very absolute. I like it. It isn't too wordy or too descriptive and it seems like you've chosen your words with car in order to give off a certain impression of what winter is like where you live.
It's also a very solemn piece that explains how some who love winter might feel. Or how excited one might feel that spring is returning. I enjoy how it's very open ended in the sense that it lets the reader choose what to take from the work.
My only quam is with the capitalization of "Spring". I understand you're bringing attention to it, but it might not be the greatest idea. It sort of stands out for the wrong reason. There is not need to point out the season, because the point that the season is returning is already coming across. It disrupts the flow of the poem for me, where everything I is not capitalized and there is not much punctuation. The poem sounds gentile and fragile and the capitalization takes away from theta feeling.
Overall great job! I really felt and read the emotion and the description was beautiful. I can't wait to see more from you! And as always keep writing!
Thanks a lot!
Heyo Alfonso! Happy review day! Subtle here for a very brief review. Canadian winter, eh? Well, I have never been to Canada or seen the snow, but Aus's got a harsh winter so I have a rough idea what you mean. To hit off, I want to say even though the idea of this poem is very simple and the same for the content, but I still think it is a very lovely and thought provoking poem. Is risky writing shirt poems, because you have to express so much in so little. But frankly, I think you have a pretty good job here.
So, I will go over a few things. But I'm no poetry expert.
'and in the midst.....' Alright, I know this is a poetry and normal rules can be thrown out. But try avoiding starting the first lien with and, it seems like you have forgotten a previous part of this poem.
'a green leaf clung to a tree branch' The use of clung here invokes the imagery of a leaf about to be blown away a gust of wind, which I think is not what you want to achieve here. So, you might want to consider your word choices.
This is a four line poem about winter, It seems to focus on the theme of rebirth as you put the new leaf but that could just be a symbol for spring, I mean it probably is. I will go back to my previous point, because this poem is so short. We only get the physical feel of this and a very brief snippet when you could have expanded this into a great poem.
Well, I'm afraid I haven't been vey helpful. Enjoy your day or night!
