Bonkers
Oh teddy bear
How can you be so stalwart through the years
When all you are filled with
Are crusty old tears
Oh teddy bear

Hello CapitalMonday here for a review. I like to begin on saying how we can all relate to this poem since we all have that one stuffed toy that you put away forever and you leave it there collecting dust, now in this poem, you show us that when you find a stuff animals, the memories soak into your hands and lead to your brain.
I enjoyed the repetition in this poem of Oh teddy bear, it makes me feel fuzzy and happy that you have found your long lost friend. Also enjoy how you say the bear holds your crusty old tears is another thing cute about this.
This poem reminds me of my stuffed animal Susie Q and how i left her in the closet for years and years, my memories soaking into her fake fur while her eyes collecting the dust that waited for her. Sometimes i wouldn't care for her and would forget about her then one day after i got into a fight with my best friend, I cried and looked over at my closet and sat there, in the corner of my closet, my bear.
Sorry if i ramble on, just like to say this an amazing poem and keep writing.
Farewell,
CapitalMonday
Hi, Birkhoff!
This poem made me make a kawaii face.
It's really cute, and really short. I like it.
I think that the repetition of "Oh teddy bear" at the end is unneeded, and kind of takes away from the rest of the poem.
I understand the tears part, as I have a teddy bear named Grisly (it's misspelled, but I was three) at my parent's house, and I have cried into that guy many a time.
I think you could elaborate on how dear this stuffed animal is to you, but it's your choice, really. I like that you keep it simple, with the one reason he's still around, but perhaps you can have an opening-- where did the narrator find Bonkers? It would be interesting to know. Perhaps you could mention how the crusty old tears have aged/not aged him?
You did an all around nice job! I hope that this review proves useful to you. Merry writing, and happy fahrvergnügen!
Short, but sweet. This is such a relatable piece (coming from the guy who owns way too many stuffed animals). It's very effective for getting the message across, that this teddy bear, Bonkers, has been with you throughout the years, through thick and thin, by saying the teddy bear has been "stalwart (nice word choice) though the years" and how its filled with crusty old tears. Even though it's a mere 5 lines, it's very powerful and really resonates with me. 10/10 would reread would share with friends.
This is good.
Maybe, you can make it longer though
Poems can be any length, of course.
And I understand if you intended for this to be short
I just think that you have the ability to make it longer, AND it will still be good
You could go into detail about it more though.
Now, if you were just going for something short and sweet, then it's great.
I also love your use of the word stalwart
Keep up the good work!
Love this
sweet and simple
Perhaps add punctuation for more effect if you would like. Since its a short poem there's not much to review. Good word choice
Keep writing! I would love if you could check out my works. I'd be interested to hear what you have to say!
