The Labrador reminds me of my sister
...Or perhaps it's the other way around.
Both manage to tear up a room
With just a blink or a crave.
Either way it doesn't matter;
They are exactly the same.
The Orange Tabby reminds me of a toddler,
Clingy and way too loud.
Both smell like what they've eaten,
Or what they've gotten into.
Either way it doesn't matter;
They are exactly the same.
The German Shepard reminds me of a baby,
Who has absolutely no control.
Both can't walk well, if at all,
And drop scat wherever they are.
Either way it doesn't matter;
They're exactly the same.
The Grey Tabby reminds me of an convicted felon,
Paranoid and cautious.
Both take very small steps
And keep their identities concealed.
Either way it doesn't matter;
They're exactly the same.
Then again, looking back,
The Lab isn't so much like Katelyn,
The Orange Tabby isn't so much like Gavin,
The German Shepard isn't so much like Jolean,
And the Grey Tabby isn't so much Bryan.
Either way it doesn't matter;
They're nowhere close to being the same.
I believe you could tweak this poem a little more to make it perfect.
Keep up the good work!Cheers !
1- Your stanzas lack flow. I am able to see how each verse is connected to the previous one but I just wish the transition from verse to verse was much smoother.Try to play around with the words a bit more until there is more rhyme to it.Another way you can achieve a better flow without having to rhyme would be to have the same count of syllables on each verse of a stanza.
2- " The Gray Tabby reminds me of an convicted felon".It should be "a convicted felon" and I'd wish you had shorten this verse and went with something like "The Gray Tabby reminds me of a convict" or "The Gray Tabby reminds me of a felon".Your verse was a bit too long.Try to minimize the number of words you use.
Overall,it was a fun and jolly poem to read.Reminded me of my pets back at home and my siblings! haha
Woah... Thats AMAZING! <3 You ended it perfectly!
Thank you!
