The Inevitable End

In Poems

Darkness engulfs me;

the stars don't shine.

My vision is blurring;

this life isn't mine.

Throat tightening,

eyes begin to water,

pure agony reaches inward

and silences this martyr.

Whatever I am,

whatever I've become-

no longer matters,

since I haven't belonged.

As I fall to my knees,

and my eyes decide to close,

just remember what I said

and bring me back home.

For I don't want to lay here,

with unaccepting eyes to see;

I don't want to stay here,

it's not right,

not for me.

Howdy,

I must say this is a really beautiful, faultless poem. I love the imagery used. The poem flows so well, the commas and other punctuation used is correct and therefore it comes straight off the tongue.

One thing, it's only a suggestion, it's typical in a poem to capitalise the beginning of every line. It isn't necessary but it would make it look neater.

Keep writing, I'm looking forward to seeing more of your work!
