Nothing

In Poems

I'm not perfect,
not like the painting
in the hallway.

I'm not certain,
not like the statues
in the muesem.

I'm not innocent,
not like the children
giggling next door.

But I'm not damaged,
not like the dishes
I threw after we talked.

And I'm not clueless,
not like the puppy dog
I see in the park.

And I'm not guilty,
not like the prison
I pass on my way to work.

Though, for you,
it's not enough
for me to be
human, is it?

I don't think
it ever was,
and I don't
think that I
should be
the one
apologizing.

So take this,
and shove it
where the sun
doesn't shine.

And when it's
all said and done,
maybe you'll make
a diamond
out of absolutely
nothing.

I really like your style Rocky! The lines are short, small, but so full of emotion and meaning. Sometimes the best poetry is the most simple, ones like a story. That come from personal experience. I wish I could say the same, not like I don't do that. But you know what I mean.

I really really like your poetry Rocky. Keep Writing!!!!

I liked this, it was simple and almost plain, but it conveyed the emotion, the sense of not being good enough, and then at the same time the knowledge that you are good enough. If that made any sense. I didn't catch any mistakes, though I wasn't looking super carefully. Anyway, this was simple, so maybe you could try and write something similar but with more imagery and detail and such. However, I personally like this one the way it is.
