A Light in a Sea of Darkness

PreviousNext

You stand in pitch black

In the middle of a world that lacked

What we truly want most:

Something not always found on every coast.

I want to see love

Indeed I do

I want to see love

Be directed to you.

It is rare that you see

What I give to you and what you give to me.

Our world has become too mean

Towards the evil side some do lean

I want to see love

Indeed I do

I want to see love

Be directed to you.

Our world does not stop to think

When someone is on an emotional brink.

Instead they are harsh and make lives worse

To me, this is truly a curse.

Can I see some love?

Indeed can I?

May I see some love

Be directed to my dearest?

It is AWESOME! I really like how every single line rhymes, and how some parts repeat. It's just so BEAUTIFUL!!!!

After I review this awesome poem, I'm totally going to like it!! Your stories and poems are just so perfect. The grammar, punctuation, rhyming, and awesomeness are all 100%.

This is the best work ever!!!!!!!!!!!! Please promise me you'll keep on writing stories and poems so that I can get ideas. I can't stop complimenting on this. Ok, I need to calm myself down...

Let's just say this is one of the best pieces of work, and lets keep it at that. I think you will be a good writer. And you are right now. :)

AMAZING!! :D

When I rea the first couple of phrases, I'm just like YES, RHYMING!!!
Lots (I'm not sure about lots, but some) poems on here don't have any rhyming. Sure, some poems are good without rhyming, but others really need it. And you did a great job with rhyming. Honestly—I think this is why I'm bad at poetry—I suck at rhyming!

Your spelling is all correct, and I didn't notice any grammar mistakes.

Last thing: It's a love poem! I love love poems! :D

Okay, anyways, hope I helped and byeeeee!

Oh my gosh, this is amazing!!! As soon as I saw the title, I was compeled to read this poem.
And, since this is a review, you can already tell its gonna be a good one! Here ya go!

Spelling: perfect! I noticed no mistakes what-so-ever!
Grammer: same as spelling! nothing wrong!
Ryming: all but the last stanza had ryming in it, but im not concerned about that.
Rating: I rate this 5 stars and 10 out of 10!!!

Great job, Em101cats!
(and yes I know that I spelled 'grammer' and 'ryming' wrong but so what!?!)

KEEP MAKING POETRY OR I SHALL CRY!!!

~puppys3117~

The last stanza was supposed to be non-rhyming for extra affect (and I could not think of any more rhymes oh well XD) thanks for reviewing, glad you liked it!

You'd better wise up, Pony... you get tough like me and you don't get hurt. You look out for yourself and nothing can touch you, man.
