Wild and Free

E - Everyone

In Songs

Is this really happening today

I feel like I am finally free

As I start to climb the big tree

And I throw my hands in the air and let out a shout

This is what it's all about

Melody:

I am wild and free, no longer domestic

I am strong and brave, no longer a kid

I am like a wolf

So wild and free

With the wind blowing in the trees

And the water flowing in the distance

I lifted my head and howled

Melody:

because I am wild and free

How did this come to be

I am strong and brave

As I walked into the cave

I am like a wolf

So wild and free

Oh I never want this dream to end

As dawn comes around the bend

I cherish the memory before it fades

As it's the only thing that keeps me going

I run through the woods

As the sun set's on the horizon

And as the river sprayed me

I looked to the sky and prayed

Melody:

I am wild and free

I don't want to wake up

I am strong and brave

Just stay asleep

I am the wolf

Wild and free

Hello, Tulip here to give you a review on your poem "Wild and Free".

I liked this poem/song which ever you'd prefer to use. It had a nice message to it and everything seemed to flow nicely throughout. Nothing seemed out of place and the language you used is simple but gives a larger impact on the reader.

I liked the wording and phrasing you used just because I could imagine what was being said. I like when poetry can do that as it is easier to read and it makes it more enjoyable. So thank you for writing a poem that did that for me.

Sorry that this isn't longer. I don't have a lot of time as I have to leave for work. I do apologize for it but good job!

Keep on writing,
~Tulip~

Hello, this is Kman134, here, to review your poem.

I love these of anti-domestication from society and feeling the freedom of being back into the wild. As human beings, we come from the wild and, sometimes, the animal within us wants to return to the wild and embrace our roots.

"I am wild and free, no longer domestic

I am strong and brave, no longer a kid

I am like a wolf

So wild and free"

This part is what got me. the symbolisms and euphemisms behind this is touching and attention-grabbing; it makes me feel the same way about when i'm not bound by the shackles of society. When wanting to go back to the wild, i want to feel like a tiger, roaming through the vast jungles of Asia, hunting my prey and ruling as its' king.

I love your work and wish to read more.

Hey!

I really enjoy this poem and the picture tagged along with it! Kinda helps with creating the imagery in your heads. It flows fairly nicely and it isn't difficult to understand at all. This may have it's cons though because it may be too simple for a poem. The word choice may need some work because it's there to get the idea across but could be more mature. A lot of great poets capitalize on their use of diction to incorporate more tools to paint a picture and really get the reader involved. Also, for the poetry, the shorter the better it is. This is mainly an idea because it isn't too long but maybe after you work on the diction, you could cut some of the length off also. The rhyme scheme is fine, really important to have in poetry and a song as well, although not necessary. As you write more, try to incorporate more difficult rhyme scheme like an ABAB ( every other line) or an ABCBCD EFEG. So many ways to incorporate. You have a good selection of imagery and other literary tools to make the read enjoyable. Overall the piece is solid, just consider some of my constructive criticism (hope I wasn't too cruel). Keep on writing and hope to read some more pieces later!

Your friend,

Cheaper

Hey! This is pretty good and I liked it. I think you should call it a song in options because I don't think this is a poem (unless I'm confused?)

Don't stop writing!
