Let your emotions flow
in this river called life,
let it soak up all grief
as it cascades down
from the rocky terrain
waltzing into green plains.
Let it absorb happiness
in this undulating course
and enjoy the wonders,
don't let the toxic sorrow
pollute your azure water,
never allow it to stagnate
when you hit the low lands.
For every heavy feeling will
be washed ashore on banks
and every tear carried faraway,
where this river meets the sea
and life finds a new beginning.

Hey! Forever here with a review! Did you know that you were the first person to post on
"Let your emotions flow

Definitely a good start and sets the mood of the poem. I can imagine the river flowing with all the emotions of life. Something which I couldn't understand was the rocky terrain and green plains. The river is obviously compared to the course of life, from what I could interpret. So, the rocky terrains and the green plains should be compared to something in the course of life.
Forever happy, it is. So this stanza is basically about how to be always happy and how to keep away from sadness. Wow, I really like how lively the comparison appears over here. I could imagine the river flowing and all the pollution flowing with it. However, I just imagined the opposite of what I was supposed to imagine. XD. This opens the way of a new interpretation of the poem. It can also be seen as a depressed or at least sad person telling other people not to.become sad... Hm... I tell many people.
First of all what this sea is? If I go to the extreme and the last, all people die at last. However, I don't think you compared death to sea or did you? It can be a thing if you take into consideration heaven and a lot of things. Now, as I don't know what you meant, I would rather not comment on that. But I really really like how you are telling people to remain happy.
Overall, this was quite a good poem if not awesome(because I thinl it is). Though it's quite a common metaphor which compares life to river, the poem still seemed new how you represented the metaphor.
Keep Writing!!
~Forever.
Oh dear, I never received a notification for this. I was actually impressed by the number of your reviews and was just going through the Review section in your profile and saw my work there xD

And Thanks for the nice review. The rocky terrain and green plains draw symbolism to ups and downs faced in life. The river experiences hindrance in its flow when encountering a rough terrain while it follows a steady flow on plain regions. Just as we go through rough and smooth phases in our lives.
The sea can be interpreted as afterlife or reincarnation as the timeline of river is now over and it has passed on everything and deposits it into the sea which in turn will all get recycled by nature. So it depends on the individual how they try to draw resemblance with their lives.
Again, thanks for the lovely review.
Yea, it happens. I also sometimes don't receive notifs. Anyway, thanks for clarifying. Now, the symbolism is clear to me. And thanks for that, I want to do at least 100 reviews this month. Let's see what I can do.
Hey Hkumar, Alice is here to give a short review!
Ahh Such beautiful lines, great imagery, you do such a wonderful job of conveying really intense emotions through poems. Everything is just perfect, your lines flow so smoothly (a thing I find hard to do). How you ended the poem was just so wonderful. The lines are simple yet so powerful. I really like how you wrote the word 'azure' instead of the usual 'blue', I really like the word it's so lovely and fancy. I am now a big admirer of your poems!
Don't forget you are amazing! And keep writing!!!
Thanks ^^

Hello! My name is Via and I'm here for a review. So... let's get started!
POSITIVES:
First and foremost, I love this poem! You obviously have much experience under your belt, and it shows from how all the line just flow perfectly together. Your imagery is well written and developed. I love the nature aesthetic and the beautiful pictures you painted. They're very simple and straight forward, nothing is overdone.
Your diction is wonderful. You chose color words that are not the typical "blue" or "red". Azure is just a lovely word and it fits with the whimsical mood of this poem. The lyrical wording just adds more layers of exquisite imagery. It all just fits with the theme and everything just is so wonderful.
Thank you for adding the periods. This poem needs the proper punctuation to emphasize certain points and enhance the rhythm.
My favorite lines is particular is
So beautiful!
CRITIQUES:
Rarely do I have a lack of critiques for poems on this forum. I guess my only critique is the capitalization. Sometimes poets choose to forgo capitalization to add more style. Here, I don't think it's really necessary. That just might be me being picky.
Overall, I love this poem! Your rhythm and imagery is just beautiful. Keep on writing!
Thank you so much:)
