Rose

E - Everyone

In my obssesion with death

I used to have a rose

It was a rich deep red,

with the slightest tint of black in it.

It was so precious to me,

I kept it always hidden deep

away from every ones eyes.

It was so special to me,

It became a part of me.

Too easy to get lost.

Too easy to be crushed.

I was so worried about it,

I build a cement wall around it.

All my life I spent guarding it.

All my life I spent trying to hide it.

But still he was able to sneak past my security.

Crossing all the boundaries

Just to hold it in his hand, just once

And finally crush it, dooming it forever.

King here

I was even invited..oh well. Anyways, I really like this and you know how picky I am, dear. *jokenojoke*

I trully like it. It is short and simple but still has that complexity in it, expressing your feelings and showing your heart as a very delicate rose that you are trying protect from being taken by someone. It is really sweet. I do not have complains actually and it is very short so we can not think of a way to improve it, I quess. I only have two corrections to make and I will leave you alone...and I wanted to be harsh on you so much.

It became a part of me.

You need to start with little letter tho I accept it this way also.

away from every ones eyes.

Every ones needs to be everyone's.

Heyo, it's Braiden here for a review on Review Day!

First off, this poem really shows that age does NOT determine talent or wisdom.

I loved this work! It was really beautiful, and VERY well-written. I loved how you compared the rose to your heart as well; I've often seen a rose symbolize love, but I don't think I e ever seen it directly represent a heart.

with the slightest tint of black in it

Loved this part of the poem :D

I have no nitpicks; there are no grammatical errors that I can see.

Keep writing! You're great at it!

Hey! I'm new, so please excuse me if my review isn't the /best/. But, I'll try!
After reading your poem I sat here and just stared at my computer for a moment. It was absolutely magnificent! I really love it!
My favorite lines from this were,"To easy to get lost, to easy to be crushed."
I related to these lines a lot, because I feel like I'm too fragile at heart.
Well.. There were a few nitpicks I did see(to me, anyway, I could be wrong about this.)
In the third line,"with," isn't capitalized like the other lines are. I forget to do the same thing when I write a poem at times!
The next thing was in my favorite lines."To easy to get lost, to easy to be crushed." If I'm not mistaken, this should be written as,"Too easy to get lost, Too easy to be crushed." I believe that's right!
Besides those three tiny things, there wasn't anything I could see that was wrong with your poem! It's absolutely impressive and amazing! I'm so glad I read it when I seen it in the Literary Spotlight!
Thank you for sharing this wonderful piece!

thank u... n I'll check the errors...

This was really impressive, especially for your age. I loved how you used your words, they were warm, yet had cold undertones to it. A very calm yet colorful piece. Very well done. The heart and rose are pretty similar in my opinion because they are both soft and beautiful things. You wove a web of poetic beauty that I just couldn't pass up.

thanx! i'm glad u liked it.
