It trails behind you waiting
For you to turn your back?

For you to mess up or fail?
No. It waits to steal you away

When all is lost it will take you
And destroy your soul.

The one thing it hungers for
Is you then once gone always gone

Don't turn your back on your shadow
For even a second it'll turn on you

Then you shall become its shadow
Doomed to trail behind watching it

Cursed to watch what could have been yours
Now it rejects you

Never giving a second glance to you
Just like how you treated your own shadow.

You can, you should, and if you’re brave enough to start, you will.
