Love's Poison

In My poems

Love is a deadly virus
Ready to infect you
At any moment
Of our misleaded lives

It's a pleasure
At first
Then the pain hits you
So sudden it's numb
To everything...

But your heart

The venom seeps through
Getting into your blood
then eating away at your very
Soul

Revealing an unknown
Pain and horror
That no one knows of...
Yet

The love is fast and widely spread
And can infect you in a heart beat
Only strong ones survive

Don't fall for love's tricks
Too many already have

Hi, Fallen here, and I must say, this piece is really great:) It really gives the reader a feel for what you are trying to get across to them. And it's true, which makes it even better. And I love the way you put it together. The words are put together in a way that makes the poem flow while also making you feel it as you are reading.

I really liked that part. It tells you how love can be a good thing at first, but the aftereffects are extremely painful. It also tells just how painful love can be. Nicely done.
