Dragon's Theme

I was inspired to do this by the character themes from Soul Eater. So, a little background on Dragon. He's a blond mage kid with a happy attitude, although some may see him on the brink of insanity. His magic uses chains, and he has a skateboard he flies on (really, he had that before I fell in love with Death the Kid ;). His best friend is Knight, a strong tomboy with glasses who uses Angel magic and is pretty much always sleeping except maybe when Dragon is around. They don't see each other much because he usually does jobs abroad.

So, here it is. Keep in mind that it is a rap, so the rhythm won't work out perfectly if you just read it. Also, it's rough. Also, I don't think I've written a rap before. I used words that weren't gramatically correct to give more of the rap feel...

--------------

Life’s a sharpened blade
so watch your back,
when every day’s a fight
nothin’ to do but attack.

Love may be a thin red string,
but friends are a chain
of people
looking out from the window
of a stained-glass steeple.

Can you feel that? thin cold iron
Imma fight till the sun comes
up over the horizon.

(instrumental)

(more raspy/whisper)

Clear night,
candle light.
Spreadin’ my wings.
Bright wish,
death wish.
Playin’ all the soul strings.

(instrumental)

Got a dream and a skateboard,
nothin’s gonna stop me,
play your guitar louder
‘cause nothin’s gonna rock me.

Wanna blast it?
I’ll pull over the amp
baby we’ll be eattin’ spaghetti
like Lady and the Tramp.

To be honest,
I’m dragon of a guy
gotta big heart, bright fire
wild-sky desire.

(instrumental)

(more raspy/whisper)

Black sings,
white wings.
In time to the beat.
Old chains,
same thing.
Melody sweet.

(instrumental)

Will you fly with me?
in an ocean of clouds
ain’t crowds up there, love
you can cry with me now.

You’re dark and light, dear,
now all in one being,
is it possible?
Can you believe
without seeing?

(instrumental)

(more raspy/whisper)

Blonde hair,
free cares.
We go way back.
Familiar face,
fast paced.
You got what I lack.

(instrumental)

I write because I don't know what I think until I read what I say.
