Eyes

Could not capture the beauty of nature :

The snow lightly fluttering across the mud

The lilies caressing the bare pavement lane

Against the snow, the roses, immaculate pearls of blood

And the sun meddling, melting- into the rain.

-

Bathing the forest in shimmering warmth,

The golden rays drop onto emerald leaves

Burning up dust into raging flowers of warmth

The sunlight filtering through the scalding trees.

-

But rain is different, rain is so many different things

It's what nourishes the earth, it's what soothes down fires,

Rain builds up floods, rain crashes soullessly upon beings

And yet rain is also the white carpet on Earth's flowers.

-

Even though our eyes have since long captured this phenomenon,

Our hearts know sun and rain don't mix together

The rain soaks the Earth, and bathe it with gold does the sun

Just like darkness doesn't mix with light,

Just like wrongs don't mix with rights,

Just like sun and moon, just like stars and nights,

It just feels wrong, out of place,

No, they don't belong together, and together they break face.

So why wonder what monstrosity their fusion would give ?

Why wonder, when we've already planned, calculated, thought for you ?

Why wonder- it is known, I shouldn't have to spell it out for you

Just don't forget what they've told you, rain falls, wets, breaks, sun burns, builds, glows

But please do remember

That together, they create rainbows

The picture is amazing. How in all hell did you take it? I could seriously look at it for ages.

Anyway, here is my review. The imagery of this whole poem is so good. However, the first stanza is a little bit confusing, but it could just be me. Mind explaining it to me, cause this poem is pretty good but that stanza drags it down for me.

I don't know if you ran out of time or were rushed but the complete change of the poem's structure was odd. Is it on purpose, because I have heard of poets doing that before.

And the opposing ideas for each thing, that brings it up so much. I love it

Anyway, great poem and totally going to look out for more by you. And once again, THAT PHOTO IS AMAZING

Thanks !! I actually found the poem after hours of research on google, then I just colour arranged it :D
For the stanza that was rushed, are you talking about the last one ? Because yeah it's done on purpose. At first it's long and flowing, then as the person becomes more and more conflicted, it shortens
Thanks a lot for the review <3333

Hey there! MapleWay here dropping by with a quick review!

This was a really neat poem! I liked the theme a lot! Yin and yang. Light and dark. My favorite part had to be the ending though! The rhythm and rhyme were on point. And the last line really hit hard. "That together, they create rainbows." It really is crazy when you think about how to polar opposites create something so beautiful. I think the picture at the bottom did a great job portraying that as well.

Anyways great poem! Definitely deserves a literary spotlight! :D

Thanks you so much for the review, it means a lot :D

Hello! Here for a review!!!
The picture is very beautiful!!!! I loved it. Now coming to the review...
It was really‘eyes could not capture the beauty of nature’! Then what can capture it? Our feelings? Our mind? I started reading the poem with all these questions lingering in my mind.

Could not capture the beauty of nature :

I reckon that this line is your opinion. If yes, then I think could should be can

immaculate pearls of blood

Although this seems interesting, can you pls explain me this line? It seems a bit vague...

The golden rays drop onto emerald leaves

What do golden rays mean here? I reckon it means sun-rays. If so, can you replace drop with fall or something of that sort?

The rest was kinda flawless. I really liked thw concept of rainbow. However, I am still a bit confused with the eye...

Overall, a very good job! Keep it up!!

Hey there !!
Thanks a lot for the review :D
For the "eyes could not capture the beauty of nature", it basically means only the heart can. But by eyes, I also mean a picture, thus "capture".
"Immaculate pearls of blood" is a literary device called paradox ? Or oxymoron ? I don't really know xD but it's basically when two things that don't go together somehow make sense, like "the ice burned her face"

And yeah the "golden rays" mean the sun, I guess using "fall" instead of "drop would make it less confusing..

Again, thanks a lot, I'll definitely look at some of the point you said <33

Okay, now I understood. Glad that I could help
