Hey Starlit!
What an interesting concept. It totally drew me in and I had to solve the crossword for a sense of achievement, haha. So 10 points for attracting the reader straight away.
What I will say is that I found the crossword quite simplistic (if, of course, I got all the answers right). I'm not sure if this was completely intentional but I think for some of them a couple of harder clues would work well - especially as you give the order of the words at the top so people could still miss a clue and work out the message.
I also wondered (though not sure how much of a pain this would be) if you could make each clue into a line of poetry. So for instance the title could be 'broken light bulbs can still cause fires' and you have to figure out the clues to solve that, but then each clue is a line itself?
Overall though, what a cool idea! I love how it made me engage with the poetry and I think it's something really different and fun
Thanks for posting, this was enjoyable to do!

Thank you so much for the review and kind words!! <3
Ooh yes, after posting it, I was thinking of making each clue into a line of poetry. Thank you for mentioning that; I really love that idea!
Again, thank you for the review. I really appreciate it!! <3
Hey starlit!
)
I'm going to attempt a review on this lovely crossword poem! (I will try my best but it is sort of hard to review this so forgive me if it isn't super helpful.
-> Title first! I've got a few ideas for titles that might give you some inspiration for even better ones ~
Maybe one of these will strike a chord - for the first one I was thinking it might be neat if the title sort of echoed the structure of the poem, and the rest are just content-related.
-> One place with a lot of possibilities, I think, would be the prompts for the words (like where you say "bush ____ in Australia). It would be super interesting if you could make each prompt into a message of its own. For example for the "bulbs" one, maybe something like "these amaryllis _____ will grow red leaves that crackle under the breeze of the fan". Here, the red + crackle imagery would tie in with the fire nicely. (That's entirely just an example, to give an idea of what I mean.) Or for the "fire" prompt, something along the lines of "don't play with ____, it will escape its glass cage and lick your hands with burning light". Again, just an example, definitely use your own language/ideas!
-> Can I just say again, your ability to fit so much into so few words is really impressive! How do you capture everything you want to say into one sentence?? Teach me your ways!
-> I think another thing you could play with, similar to what I suggested on your word search poem, is font colour - yellows and oranges might be too light for the text, but you could probably experiment with making the cross-word boxes different shades of red, orange, and yellow. A dark orange or red could work for the text, too. Or you could make the background red/dark orange and the text/cross-word boxes white - again, totally up to you!
-> I just got one more random thought while I was looking at the poem - what if instead of numbers for differentiating the prompts, you used letters to spell out a word (it'd have to be a seven-letter word). Something like sparking (that's one too many letters though) or burning. You could assign each letter to the order of the words that appear ~
4 (across) - B
3 - U
4 (down) - R
2 - N
5 - I
1 - N
6 - G
That could be completely ridiculous and way too complicated, so absolutely no need to try it out, but it popped into my head right before I was going to wrap up this review so I thought I'd write it down just in case
I think that's it for the review - all in all, this was another super creative poem, I always love seeing what you've come up with! No pressure to try any of the stuff I've suggested, but if you do want to play around with things I think it'd be interesting. I hope you find this review useful! And keep writing
whatcha
Thanks for such a lovely and helpful review!! <3333

Ooh wow, I love your title suggestions! I might just use one of those or a variation. I like the first one especially!
I love the prompt idea! I was thinking of making each one more "poetic" or have its own message, but I don't quite remember why I chose not to. I love that idea though, so I'll definitely play around with that.
Aw, thank you for such kind words! <33 You know what really helps? For this, I just wanted to write something about lightbulbs, not knowing the direction I wanted to take it in. So I just put the word lightbulbs in google search and see what autofill suggest me. The autofill was mostly talking about watts or it going bad, so I went on reading how lightbulbs go bad. Then I wondered if broken lightbulbs are dangerous. So basically google autofill can lead you from one place to another without you even trying to go there. It's pretty helpful if you have an idea but don't know what to write about
I like your font/colour idea; I'll take a look at that as well <3
Okay that word thing is a pretty cool idea. There's one spot I have the number 4 for both across and down, so I would have to find a way to get around that, like maybe giving that the letter N so it would come twice or something. That's actually pretty cool! I'll check that out
Again, thank you so much for the review! I really appreciate it. It's so helpful as always, and I can't wait to try out some of the stuff you mentioned <3
This is so clever!!
Aw, thabj you very much!! <33
