Hey fight4whatisright!

The plot very slightly reminded me of a series of books by Maggie Stiefvater. Have you read them? I just see similarities where your MC doesn't know why they turned into a wolf like those in her books.

First off, I love how you quote lyrics before the chapter. Music is my main muse when I write and I'm always writing chapters or scenes of my stories to songs
So, I didn't notice any mistakes that haven't already been noted by other reviewers. The piece flowed nicely and your descriptions were lovely. I loved the opening sentence! It really drew me in.
Your plot seems interesting and you had my attention all the way through the piece and that's saying something as I'm easily distracted
I agree that Dakota's character is a little 2D at the moment, but this is only the first chapter, so you've plently of time to fill us in on his background and stuff
I'm looking forward to reading on!

Hi, wariofart here for a review. Let's get right down to it.
General: Overall, I really liked the start of the book. You grabbed me from the beginning and had me reading on, just because the concept was so interesting. It definitely makes me want to keep reading and realize why he turned into a wolf, and who left that paw print.
However, I feel like you could extend this a little more, and not finish the chapter so quickly. I don't really get a sense of Dakota's character in this very well, beside that he doesn't want to kill things, and is hungry. Try and show more of who he is as a person, and don't just rush us to the meeting with the other wolf-person. Your plot and story idea is really good, now just work a little bit on character development, and you'll have an amazing start.
Nit-Picks:
The two sentences in bold contradict each other. Cut out one of them.
Awkward sounding. Get rid of the comma, or rephrase the sentence.
I'd get rid of the three dots after devour, to make it seem like it's going faster, and to make it more chant like. Right now, the three dots make the reader pause for too long.
I don't know why, put calling whatever force is leading him on 'The Pull' really annoyed me. Think about just changing it to 'the force of life', or something like that.
Anyway, good luck on your book! You have a strong start, so keep up the good work!
i love it...very descriptive, although you have a few typos... u spelt thigh thy...thigh as in leg? yeah XD just pointing that out :p
Hiya! I'm Luxy and I'm going to review this for you. My system is red for grammar/spelling, purple for word choice, and blue is my commentary.
Grammar:
For the most part, your grammar was good. There were a few missing commas and there were one or two spots that you probably could've switched around the sentence structure, but for the most part, you passed
Word Choice:
As evidence by the lack of purple in your story, you had great word choice.
My Thoughts:
I love wolves, so when I saw this I had to check it out! This has great potential and I'm very eager to read more of this story when you get more out. I have so many questions, like, what happened to his family? What's the story behind 'the Pull'? I'm excited!
PM me when there's more!
