Run with the wind!

In Poems

''Run with the wind'' I say!
But you gape at me,
With defiance;
Sprawled at the corners of your eyes.

You crouch at my feet,
With all the splendour you can muster.
Grandeur;
Protruding from your muzzle.

''You belong in the wild'' I screech!
Instead, you gnaw at my soul.
Your tears;
Betraying your dignity.

An animal tangled with freedom.
You have no place in this abode;
Trapped like Kronos,
In the depths of hell.

Kings gawp at your beauty;
Animals envy your grace;
Mother nature beams,
At your brilliance.

''Don't leave me'' I whimper,
''Your essence, I am bound to explore''.

Really creative poem, i think I liked the word choice in it the most, really some interesting ones in there! Also I enjoyed the style of it with actual dialogue right in the poem. Now my only criticism is that.. I'm not quite sure if "gawp" is a word, maybe I just haven't heard it before, but it seems awfully similar to gape even if it is a real word so you might want to consider changing it to put in even more variation since you've already used gape. Good job on the poem!! can't wait to read some more of your work.

That was a very heartfelt and emotional poem. I was close to crying. I must say thank you for posting this, because I am thankful for being able to read it.
