Bondage

E - Everyone

In Poems

Who am I?

Down-trodden with the images of my sins.

Greedy and selfish

To satisfy the desires of my flesh.

How can I play the saint

If I am haunted by debauchery?

Lifeless under the weight of my mistakes;

I am a prisoner of the physical.

Torn apart between morality and pleasure .

A broken soul,

Seeking a contrite heart.

This is bondage.

Raw and besmirched.

Lord, save me!

In darkness I lie

A wounded soul

Tortured by lust.

I lick my spittle in content.

My life, a mixture

Of wounded demons feasting on the remains of my darkness

And light that I see not.

Until....

Hello there! Hopeless here to give you a review!

Ok so let's jump on in. First off.. Wow this poem is amazing it brought back old thoughts and memories, so good job on that. And the fact that it is so nicely written is even better. Your grammar, spelling, and punctuation is great too. Very good on this poem I know that people and writers can relate to this poem and that's something great! Most people cant do that with their poems or work, it's a gift. So great job on the poem.

Keep writing and stay beautiful!!

I wish I understood poetry a little more so I could give you a nice lovely review.... But I really liked it, it was very detailed for such a short poem. It brought someone broken and suffering to my mind.....

Hope this helped, even if only a little. :)
