I lean in close to taste your kiss,
I spend, with you, a moment of bliss.
My tongue, it buzzes, like a mosquito,
When I consume my gooey burrito.

Ha! I can't believe I missed this one. Great job.
Hi, MargoSeuss. This is Pinkie here for a review. Excuse me as I put on my glasses. *puts my hot pink glasses*

I am sorry to say this, I have to say it. So....this poem is not funny to me unlike the others. I didn't laugh at this poem because it made me just...meh. It is just about you are eating your lovely burrito which it means you are in love with your food. However, this is an excellent poem. You gave some rhymes on here. I enjoyed this poem a lot. I hope you write more poems. Well, have a nice day!
Awesome Job!
Cheers
Your reviewer, Pinkiegirl13
P.S: I hope I am not mean.
Hello! KatyaElefant here to review! Oh and Happy Review Day!
I love this poem! It is so cute! I have this kind of relationship with my food too. (shhh. Don't judge... I love my food *hugs food*). I think that we need to see more of this type of poetry on the website. Stuff that you can laugh at and go, "I can relate to that... That is soo sad. XD" You have the maximum amount of imagery that you can have in this short of a poem and I applaud you for that. I don't know what you mean by your tongue buzzing like a mosquito because if that does that you may need to go to a tongue doctor. XD I love your writing style. It is so unique. You spelling and grammar is good(I would hope so...). I love how you trick the reader at first, that you are talking about a person. Then all of a sudden, you get confused for a second and you go ohhhh! Thank you for taking my time away from me. XD I enjoyed your piece very much. Keep writing! I made sure to follow you. XD Have a nice Review Day!
Lol. I'm sorry my side hurts to much. Too funny man, too funny. The second to last line is my favorite, because it lead up to the final line where all I can picture is someone in euphoria while savoring a burrito. Now my only question is, what kinda burrito?
Well what I enjoy is a hardy chicken burrito with cooked peppers, and onions, lots of cheese, tomatoes, beans, corn, rice, salsa, lettuce, and lots oh guacamole!! Oh yes!
Hello.
This makes sense, and this is all very romantic.I get the feeling that your works are deliberately random. I don't know why, but I just feel like that's your style.
This line is more sad because it suggests that their happiness is only briefly tangible.
Interesting metaphor. I wasn't aware that mosquitoes buzzed?
So taking this literally, I am assuming this is about the relationship between someone and food?
Or is that way off? Because it's difficult to tell.
Interesting work though.
Keep writing
~R
Yes. This is about one's relationship with food. My poems are generally literal.
Hi! Kelpies here for a review.
It's funny! At first it is like your classic romance, then it turns out to be a burrito. Was it spicy? Was it a veggitable? Had to say that. I am going to read the rest of your poetry. Could you post something on my wall when you post another poem? Thank you. On to the Demon of Sludge!
Spicy and filled with veggies!
Glad you enjoyed!
Haha! i love this.
I hope to see more soon
Simple and adorable. A true love story!
I honestly can't express how much I love this. It's just... It's like my life story! Just kidding
I don't see any spelling mistakes or grammar errors. You did really well on this.
To a point, I wish it was longer, but in all honesty, the length is great as it is.
"My tongue, it buzzes, like a mosquito,
When I consume my gooey burrito."
I honestly thought you were talking about a boy until the last line. It was funny to see consume, and think "...umm.... she's a... cannibal...?" then see the word, burrito, at the end.
Keep up the great writing
Thanks, Haley. I really appreciate your review!
Hey MargoSeuss, Strange here and I have a review for you.
Eh, I should get onto the good stuff before I start this. The best thing about this poem is it being short and blunt. That's always good. You don't get carried away and you keep it nice and sweet. When it comes to humor poems, the funniest are always short and blunt. You do have the plan to make a funny poem.
Now, I'm not intending to be mean or anything, but if I do come off as mean, I'm sorry, hate on me all you want, I just hate being harsh.
But this poem isn't as funny as reviews below say. This honestly didn't make me chuckle at all. It is simple, too simple. Simpleness can lead to being blunt, but this is barely blunt. It ultimately falls flat. This isn't my cup of tea, to be honest. See, what I look for in a humor poem is wittiness and humor. The humor is immature, and I have to admit, just isn't there. It relies on something so silly, it isn't absurd and is just crude. When it comes to crude and immature poems, you also need to rely on wittiness. This wasn't witty at all, and didn't help at all. Now I'm one to talk, as there is this poem about farting in Art Class in my portfolio, but I think it works because it relies on simpleness and crudeness, and is somewhat witty. "Oh Strange, you aren't good at humor poetry" Eh, I could disagree. I'm sorry, but this wasn't funny at all. Didn't even cause a small chuckle.
I'm sorry if I offended you from being too harsh, go ahead, send me messages saying "Strange, you're not a good reviewer/ you have no sense of humor." I'm just being honest.
Overall, meh.
Sorry, I can't exactly rate this.
Good job,
Keep writing,
Stay groovy, my friend.
This poem was intended to be serious. Burritos are a serious thing! Your the first person to truly understand the serious nature of this poem. I don't know why people are laughing at it. Meat, salsa, cheese...that stuff needs to be taken seriously. And don't get me started with the avocado! I am a passionate burrito consumer. The purpose of this poem was to share my passion with the world. Stay strange, strange. And don't laugh the next time you eat a burrito..cry.
This was a very interesting and odd response, obviously mocking me for my serious nature by taking serious reviews serious but okay! Woo!
I love this poem. It starts off cute and adorable. Then you have mosquitoes, and gooey burritos. I thought it was great and it definitely made me laugh. The title also is perfect because you click on it thinking this is going to be cute and romantic and it is but not in the way you think. The way I thought of it, after I read it was love for a gooey burrito and not just the kiss.
Keep up the good and fun writing
This was absolutely hilarious! Definitely made my day, that's for sure.
I love how misleading the title is, yet all the same it's funny because it's not what people would expect.
Must have been once spicy burrito, eh? At least that's what I picture... I'm not really all that great with poetry, I just like reading it. Nonetheless, props for such an entertaining piece!
This poem made me laugh so hard while reading it.
I had come in expecting something entirely different, anticipating someone leaning in, going in for that kiss. That image was only furthered by the moment of bliss then shared. The mosquito threw me as there was nothing at all romantic about a mosquito buzzing in someone's mouth...
...And then you brought in the burrito and I lost it.
Job well done, Margo! This poem is masterfully hilarious.
P.S- I've now got an insane craving for a burrito. I blame you for this!
Thank-you for laughing! I find inspiration in the funniest places! I wrote this poem after digesting a burrito! They are truly delicious!
Why....why are you so hilarious!!!!
I absolutely loved this poem and no doubt will it be featured in the Literary Spotlight soon
There is almost nothing to fix...I just don't think you need the commas where "with you" is unless you really want them there.
Okay things I loved
The ending, of course, because it was totally unexpected but I really should have expected something like that since it is you who wrote the poem! I also like the simile you used
"My tongue, it buzzes, like a mosquito."
The simpleness of this poems adds on to the humor and I just have to say this brightened my day.
So thank you. And I, too, love burritos.
Keep writing!
Glad you laughed! There is nothing like a burrito to brighten your day!
