They say time heals all wounds.
What they don't mention is the length of time it can take. It can take a week, a month, or years.
They don't tell you that you may need help to heal them.
They don't tell you how much it may hurt or be uncomfortable to heal.
Time heals all wounds.
But at what cost?

Hey, hello....hope ur doing good. I came across this piece because the title instantly caught my attention. It made me pause and reflect—"Does time really heal all wounds?" We often say it does, especially when it comes to physical pain, the kind we can see and touch. But what about the wounds we carry on the inside? The ones buried deep where no one else can reach? That question lingered in my mind as I began reading, and to my surprise, your poem seemed to echo that exact sentiment.
It feels as though the poem was born either from personal experience or from a deep empathy for others—either way, it beautifully captures the silent pain and the fragile hope that time might still bring healing. It's something everyone can relate to at some point in life, and your words manage to make that personal experience feel universal.
If I may offer a small suggestion, I think the piece could benefit from a few additional lines—perhaps a closing that gives a sense of closure or growth, even if it's subtle. But overall, this was a powerful and emotionally resonant work.
Really well done. Keep writing—it got connected with me.
Thank you! If you look at my works I posted a longer version of this exact poem.
Hey, KaeRae here! I feel like this isn't much of a review, but I'm here anyway. I genuinely can't find anything to critique on. I like the use of the original quote
and by expanding it a little to fit what I am assuming you have gone through is just perfect! (Chefs kiss!!) I definitely can relate to this. One thing I do want to mention, if you are thinking of expanding this to a longer poem, I would find a better, more reliable way of writing. What I mean is breaking your sentences down even more so it would be more like a poem and less like a story.(etc) Just a thought if you were planning on expanding a little! But I love the emotion all through this piece. 10/10!
keep writing, KaeRae❤️
Thank you! i have written the longer version in my journal and have editted a little bit. i will be posting it soon!
I have posted the longer version
Sure..will definitely read. Thanks %uD83D%uDE0A
Hello Hello, I hope you don't mind me popping in with a review. I will apologize as this will be fairly short. Overall, I like the themes and how they could be portrayed however I wish you would go into more depth with a slightly longer piece. The second thing I want to bring up is just my thoughts. Since this seems like something that has the potential to be very personal and impactful I would have loved to see that elaborated on more. What I mean is painting moments and examples of how these wounds happened and how one heals.
Example : The Screams falling out friends and the peace that comes comes after. Time heals all wounds.
I am sorry if this makes zero sense I am very tired so if I am spouting nonsense let me know.
As always Keep writing and drink water!
thank you for the review! i get what your saying, this was just a short poem i wrote whiel i was going through something and had writers block but i loved seeing your thoughts and will definetly make a longer version.
