Hi names 22Midnight
hope your doing well, let's get into it!
First Impression: Normally I just talk about the title when I say first impressions so when I read the name of your poem in the green room I really thought this this was going to be about like royals or governments or someone that holds a lot of power because of the position that there in currently.
A pen holds power.
It's more dangerous than a sword, a gun, or a knife.
A pen can destroy your life, tell a lie, ruin you, kill you, but it can also build your life, tell a truth, help you, bring you to life.
A pen can spread a rumor, start a war, burn a country, end a life, forget a life, but it can also end a rumor, end a war, start a country, save a life, memorialize a life.
A pen can help you understand others, understand yourself, share your thoughts, explore your demons, say what you can not say.
A pen is dangerous because of the words it puts on the paper, but what's more dangerous?
The pen that writes the words?
Or the person who holds the pen and creates the words?
This was definitely not what I was expecting to read, it's been very well written and it really captures the meaning behind what it really means to be a writer who can just write anything they want even if its not nice or just create there own world and destroy it to build it up again.
I'd like to make one suggestion to this though I feel like the word pen is repeated a little more then it has to be, maybe lesson it to make it every third or second line that it's said instead of almost every single line, just so it doesn't become to repetitive, you also could use pencil in some lines instead of pen so slightly change the wording.
hope this makes sense
Overall: It was wonderfully written and was very straight forward in its meaning, I also liked that the poem didn't drag out, it was as short and long as it had to be, had a lovely meaning as well
anyway that's it from me
hope you have a great dawn/dusk/midnight
See Ya
