Tears

In Dear K Love S

I have spilt them for you
I have lost myself in them

First it was the happiness
You saved me from the pit
Tearing me away from the edge and into your arms

But then your hold kept tightening
The light was disappearing
I couldn’t seem to pull myself back up
Then you pushed me to the ground

Now it was the pain
All I had was confusion, and you
I tried to hold on to the second
But you stepped away

It somehow was worse
But I held myself together
The light was reappearing
But your hand grabbed onto me

I wanted to fall back into your grip
I wanted to give in
But I fought it
I knew that something wasn’t right

I escaped
I was free
Now you try again
I won’t hesitate this time

Hey there! It's ZeldaIsShiek here to review another quintessential piece of literature that made my day and win this Review Day by helping the Red Pandas stay in first place and reaching my goal of 80 reviews. I might even get to 100, if I work hard enough. I am really excited to review this amazing piece of art that you have created, and maybe add some witty humor as well. Anyway, that's enough idle chatter from me. Let's get into the review.

I love how this poem expresses to the reader how someone who you love can save you from a time of sadness or darkness, but relying on them too much can become its own darkness and block out the light once again. However, you tried to leave and go back to the light, but their manipulative hand tried to grab onto you and force you to stay with them and convince you into believing you need them to be happy. When you eventually broke out of this relationship, you decided that you would never go back to it again. That was your resolve, and that is what you are doing now. I enjoyed how this poem was short and sweet with little errors for me to correct. Great work as always.

That's all for today. Keep writing amazing literature that inspires me to read and review them, and have a great Review Day! Let's beat the Blues once and for all!

I love the concept this poem is portraying.
The fact that more than one part of the relationship is being illustrated the transition between happiness and pain and the confusion all captivate me. Its truly amazing that you initially begin in such a way that you are expecting an amazing romance but then the long term revelations are shown. This just shows not all relationships that end in a bad way began like that.

Hey,
I really loved this poem, especially how you were retelling the story, almost as if it was a fairytale but then as a reader you realise that there's nothing romantic about the relationship that's being described, at least not in the end. I also liked how each stanza was focussed on one part of their relationship, in a chronological order. And I actually appreciate the fact that you added in the sweet romantic aspects of their relationship in the beginning of the poem to show that it wasn't all bad, making the whole encounter seem a lot more realistic. Finally, I loved how blunt you were as a speaker, there was no denying the fact that the speaker was weak, and did want to go back to her lover.
Anyway I'm rambling on too much.
Thanks for sharing this poem!!

you should write songs for a band or something because this is hella good XD. I've been seeing a lot of poems that start out dark and have a nice ending, a breaking away ending. Its actually a quite refreshing change from the normal dreariness with no light at the end of the tunnel. there's hope, there's strength in this. I greatly approve, keep writing my dude!

Thanks! If only I had the musical talents to make a band, but playing violin and minimal violin and kinda sucking at both doesn%u2019t help me, I can%u2019t even sing haha. Im glad you enjoyed this though!
