buck up, kid!

hold your head high,

and Always Remember to,

Smile.

buck up, kid!

keep your fingers crossed,

but Never Forget to,

Laugh.

buck up, kid!

face the world head-on,

and Always Remember to,

Love Yourself Unconditionally.

She'll come around...

Won't She?

She'll some around, Greenie. She'll come around.

I can't really find anything to critique here, seeing as this is basically a self-expression poem you've got and everything was intentional. But there's this one place:

and Always Remember to,

Smile.

The comma here is unneeded. Just my inner grammar nazi speaking.

I loved the title, 'cause it was just as snappy as the poem. You've got a really motivational style, and yet that uncertainty at the end... brilliant!

Keep writing, keep it up!

And don't let life get you down. ;)

I really like short and snappy poems like this one. They're so easy to read but in a way hard to review. So I do apologise as this review more than likely will be rather short. But I'll try to say as much as I can.

I like the repetition of the phrase :"Buck up, kid!"

But other than that there really weren't any techniques that I noticed. Which was kind of disappointing to me. I like poems which can have a nice piece of imagery (despite the fact that I can't write imagery to save myself).

Anyway, this poem took a strange turn which felt inconsistent with the rest of the poem:

She'll come around...

Won't She?

This seemed rather out of place. When I first read this I imaged that it would be a nice an motivational poem about not giving up (which it was). I don't really know how I feel about the last line. It just seemed slapped in there. I felt it could of ended better but it was still good.

All in all a nice little poem.

Happy writing!

Thanks. :) The point of that last line was actually to create that effect of optimism so rudely interrupted by that lingering uncertainty. Also , as far as techniques went, the main thing I used here was parallelism and repetition, then throwing in the last two lines to throw it all off. It was intentional. So I'm glad u caught it. ;) Thanks for the review.

This poem is really encouraging! I absolutely love it. The use of telling us to find our inner power. It is great that there is someone who believes in you to make it work and to keep your head held up high. Also the use of love is goid because it is our search in life to find our special someone. Thank yiu for having such faith in

Thanks! Glad ya liked it! ;)
