Candles

Is life, this ringing in my head?
Silent walls I crash into.
Ending up half through and half stuck.
That’s me, how have you been?
I left no mirror alive,
brushed away regret like dust
I hear thorns now
I feel screams.
I’ve ever been,
oblivious like a casket to perfume
The candles I lit,
have set me on fire.

I like this poem. If the first few lines were clearer it would enhance the poems meaning but I too very much like the last two lines. I like the imagery of the piece, and the structure is great. If like how you except the way you write instead of denying it. You have to except things so that you can fix them :)

Thanks for your review JayShay. There's nothing to be sorry about. My friends too say that I encrypt my poems too much. That may be true, but that's the way I am anyway. And the meaning of the fourth line, "That’s me, how have you been?". I would say that's simple English. I'm sharing my predicament with someone and then asking them about how they've been doing.
Thanks again!

I am going to be brutally honest as much as I hate to be negitive. I am not sure what you are trying to accomplish through this work. I understand how you have had your share of regrets in this life. Nextly what is with the question on the fourth line? It makes no sense, to be honest. I do like the last two lines because they give a true symbolic meaning. But other than that to me this poem is just confusing. I apologize for any hurt feelings but this is just me.
