Circus Festival
If I could paint a picture of what my circus be like
Ya’ll wouldn’t like it, aint no wonder the crowds don’t spike
Ashes all around, ashes from the circus i just finished burnin’ down
And I couldn’t look back, I knew that I burnt all the taunting clowns
And the circus is still in the makin’, I ain’t quite done yet
I’m out of gasoline but that dont mean it’s over, game match set
But tonight with the butterflies flyin’ high with broken wings
And the birds don’t know what’s the point in tryin’ to sing
I’m still here, you can’t get rid of me, I won’t let you
Ya’ll be tryin’ to ruin the fun, but imma knock you down if you try to sue
~
Keep this warnin’ close to yo heart!
I built this circus from misery, don’t you dare start!
I’m sorry I don’t have the care for a carnival!
The last one burnt down so damn it all!
Don’t you dare go wishin’ on that stupid well!
To tell a good story I had to go through hell!
I don’t have fun games and rides, burnt it down and all,
But from these ashes I built this Circus Festival!
~
I had a mary-go-round, if I dig deep into the painful memories
And if you think I wasted my time blowin’ ballons, I’ll bring on your hemorhaging
No, I was the ring master, and I made it quite clear
All and all, while the crowd lasted, it was a good year
But then my jester, she decided to quit her role
She threw her flower on the ground and left me alone
I looked back at the clowns, and all of them were smilin’ at me
But they had paint on their faces and I knew it was a fake smile that I see
I was in a fit of rage, the Jester was the star of my show!
I grabbed the gasoline and down the circus along with my heart goes

You know, you can burn down your circus, but the ashes are still there
The gray clouds are a reminder and they’ve made themselves clear
“You can’t get rid of the memories, I won’t let you” and I know it isn’t fair
Please, I beg of you, don’t be like me and burn down everything you hold dear
You think you can fix me? Please don’t even try
I’ve held the flame so close to my rose, until I heard her cry
I yelped and pulled back, but don’t you think the damage was done?
I can never say sorry, only tell her “you’re my only one”

The memories fade away too fast, too quick
The feelings wash away until I'm feeling sick
There's no one left, no one here to build it all again
But no one never really had my back, not now, not then

Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening/Night(whichever one it is in your part of the world),
Hi! I'm Kate and I'm here to leave a quick review!!
First Impression
Well it looks like this Circus Festival is built on quite a lot of pain there. I think you do a wonderful job outlining just how much this person had to go through in order to do all of this and how much of an effect it all had on this current festival.
Anyway let's get right to: Kate's Line by Line Reactions;
Oooh a fun little start. Looks like a cute little circus at least from the way things begin here. All fun and games and reasons to celebrate. We'll see what more is going to go down here.
Oh dear well that went dark pretty quickly. Looks like there is more to this circus than meets the eye and there was a previous one that burnt down which has caused our owner here to get a little protective.
Oh dear this just keeps getting worse and worse. Looks like there's a lot of bad memories pent up in there and they are all coming up to cause plenty of bad moments here.
Well we're getting flooded with yet more bad memories here and they are steadily getting worse and worse. No wonder the Circus Festival situation happens to be that paranoid.
Well looks like our protagonist here really built everything up from the ground there with no one to help. Really goes to show the kind of values he has and you've done a great job bringing all that across.
Aaand that's it for this oneee!!!
Overall
Overall a powerful little tale that really sets up this whole scenario of a circus festival and everything that it means here. I think you do a great job going into these memories and feelings here!
As always remember to: Take what you think was helpful and forget the rest!
Kate
I'm kinda sorry you had to review this XD I forgot this song existed and, looking back on it now, my rap kick that I had for a while was a disaster. I've remade most of the songs. so yeah. sorry. but thanks for making it sound like I did i a good job!
Hello there, human! I'm reviewing using the YWS S'more Method today!
Shalt we commence with the malevolent S’more?
Top Graham Cracker - The singer has burned down yet another circus, and warns others not to berate her because they never experienced what she did. The circus was burnt to the ground, and will another not be found?
Slightly Burnt Marshmallow - I think that you meant to say “Merry-Go-Round” for a lyric, but that’s just one little thing.
Chocolate Bar - I like how for a brief moment, it sounds like the singer is pleading, asking for the listener to not burn down all that they love. After all, the person singing had gone through Hell, and trust is bound to waver.
Closing Graham Cracker - The singer has created another circus, but does it really matter? Will it burn down yet again? The heart still bleeds from love that was broken, and it’s bound to shatter again. Maybe the heart can be salvaged…maybe.
I wish you a fantastical day/night! :>
