Serenity

PreviousNext

Go find me on the mountain
where far away from despair,
and people flocked to climb on
to see their dreams,
become a reality.

Go find me playing on the vast grassland
where far away from congestion,
and the people ran without restriction
to remain free,
without a hitch.

Go find me on the skies
where far away from the arid land,
you can lie down and looking up
to see the stars and moon at night,
and see the sun in the morning glory.

Go seek me in the darkness
where far from a bright light,
You can get the valor through it
without being afraid of the dark,
without being gripped by fear.

I really liked this! I love the way you make me want to know more about the "me" in the poem. It's beautifully written. I especially love that you switched from "find" to "seek" in the last stanza. It made it seem more important somehow. And I related to all the settings you described, too. Well done!

This was a great poem about serenity, and where you can find it. I always love well described poems, so I liked this, and I always love well described poems about nature, so I REALLY liked this.
Go seek me in the darkness
where far from a bright light,
You can get the valor through it
without being afraid of the dark,
without being gripped by fear.

That stanza is great! I especially like the last two lines. I noticed that you have the third line of the first 2 stanzas start with and the people, and then you change it to you can. I like that because it makes it seem more personal,; like not only can other people find it, but you can as well.
Keep it up!

Hello there, Infinity here to review!

Well what a wonderful poem you have here. I like the feeling of wanderlust it gave me and I like the imagery you've included, it was very simple but so meaningful at the same time. It was easy to understand, which I liked and they way it's written in general, a really good effort.

However, there's always room for improvement so there are some minor things I'd like to address and suggest to you which may help improve your poem even further.

Firstly this line,

"where far away"

I have a slight problem with this, it doesn't make sense to me, mainly the "where" part it looks and sounds like the wrong word to use, grammatically, perhaps "Way far away" or if you don't want to change it much you could try, "Where it's far away" ?

"Go find me on the mountain
where far away from despair,
and people flocked to climb on
to see their dreams,
become a reality."

"Go seek me in the darkness
where far from a bright light,"

That was my favorite stanza, I love the idea of people climbing a mountain to finally see their dreams.

I liked the line about finding you in darkness because it's a bit of a twist as most people would want to be found in light but I like the fact you'd want to stay hidden almost and be found in your hiding place of darkness..

Overall a great poem, Hope I was of help to you.

Keep writing! -Infinity x

Hey there, DarkKnight9!

The poem was intriguing from beginning to end and I could NOT, for the life of me, just read it once. So I read it three times then once more while writing this review. It was beautifully constructed and worded oh-so-wonderfully.

The first stanza was what got me hooked. If you want me to be more specific, I believe it was the first two lines. That stanza was most definitely my favourite out of the entire poem.

The last stanza, however, threw me off a bit.

"...you can get the valor through it without being afraid of the dark without gripped by fear."

Should it be "without being gripped by fear"?

Other than that, I can't seem to find anything else that forced me to pause for my mind to catch up. It really is a great poem and I hope to read more from you soon! Good job!

Thank you so much,I will fix it soon!

I loved this poem. My favorite thing was the last part; 'go seek me in the darkness' it's said as a command, and I liked that it made it sound more powerful. My second favorite thing was the last line; 'without gripped by fear' but I would add the word "being" In between without and gripped, it reads a little easier. But this poem was written very well. I enjoyed reading it.

Thank you so much for review!:)
