Where shall I look for perfection
that is not haunted by pretending;
though in a dream
it's overshadowed by chaos.

I likeeee! This has so much feeling in one little piece of writing! I enjoy it! It really takes some special people to write poetry, because I've never took time to learn the art. But anyways I look forward to your other writings because you are truly talented! This is honestly a piece I could see hanging on wall in a picture frame. I don't really know what you could change , Because its such a short piece, but another thing I was thinking is that this is really something everyone wants. They would like to be perfect. And I don't know if you are a girl or not but a lot of girls put on a face when they get to school and PRETEND like everything is okay. When inside so many things are wrong. Well anyways, I really liked your writing & I can't wait to read more! Good luck on further pieces!
This poem can really be interpreted in so many ways.
"Where shall I look for perfection
that is not haunted by pretending;"
I feel this can be looked at numerous ways. For the reader it can signify that everyone tries to portray themselves with no faults so that they can be liked and socially popular but underneath it all its lies it speaks to human nature in how we try to hide the ugliness we keep inside us and we constantly kid or lie to ourselves about it. In the last portion i feel the feeling of irony. You can dream all that you want for perfection but there is always the possibility of your mind just drowning it over.
All in all this piece is very well written especially for such a deep and opinionated topic and its very difficult to write about such a thing in only a few lines. Wouldnt change a thing, awesome work
Short and sweet, this is brilliant.
I think you have just introduced me to poetry.
This is so short and snappy! I think its a brilliant way to write a poem, I love that its all one sentence because then the full stop at the end really packs a punch, making the "Chaos" stand out much more.
It's really realistic too, I mean you focus on the real world, the real world isn't perfect so your poem has a point that is valid, where would anyone look for perfection?
That's when you start to question yourself, where would you look? some would look at beauty, others nature, others technology, but most would say perfection simply cannot exist. I really love this, it kind of questions morals, of the people around you, how would they look at perfection, or is this just me over thinking it?
Its really cool, I loved it!:P
This is beautiful! I am so following you.
There is no such thing as perfection.
At least not in this world.
