YOU KNOW WHAT IM YEARNING FOR? SUMMER RAIN SHOWERS
I NEED HELP REMEMBERING the ending will be good
I kind of want to just decompose in my room
until I'm scraped off the floor
i am locked in my head most of the time
staring at the ceiling, drunk off my ass
STILL IN LOVE
what’s the word we always use?
Broken.
I hate the almost quiet way
i’d die of a broken heart
I hate sleeping in the dark and silence
Is there any way
we can find another place?
I’ll leave the door open
should i go back home
all my dreams last night were of my mother
i miss feeling so peaceful
I want to breathe again
But i’ve had my turn
Im just Far too sentimental
maybe i’ll see how i’m doing tomorrow
im sorry lovely
Im sorry if it’s been too much
maybe we’re burnt out
I cant believe we forgot
what love feels like
when i’m done for the night
the dream is still there
It lurks in my mind all the time
i rewrote some of it
do you want to read the ending now
I missed you rambling
i think I’ll love myself until I mean it
u mean so much to me
i can breathe again
That's what love feels like
I heard an angelic voice
The intense lyrics said so softly
we’ll survive.
we’ll be alright.
we’ll find a way.
i think the ending will be good
What’s the word we always use?
HOPE HOPE HOPE
Hey, Ally here for a review.

First of all, I have one word to say about this poem. WOW. Writing this with things that you've been sent by your friend, as a sort of tribute to your friend is just brilliant. Your friend sound awesome and I love how you were able to put word they sent you into poetry. They are definitely lucky to have a friend like you
Writing some sentences in all caps (presumably how the lines were sent I'm guessing?) adds even more meaning to the poem. Opening the poem with a line containing all caps also draws the reader in instantly. This poem has good flow and absolutely love this style. I feel like writing like this is very distinct and something I haven't really saw in a poem before (that is taking sentences that you were sent and forming them into a poem). I can't wait to see what else you write and keep up the good work.
Also I see that this review posted twice for some reason, I'm sorry about that, I don't know what happened lol

Thank you so much for the review!! Im grinning :,)
This is gem hopping in for a review.
You must have a wonderful friend! This poem is very interesting and your friend sounds very chaotic. I thought it was very curious that you brought in the use of caps. Not a lot of people type in all capital letters in poetry, and I think the way you did it wasn't very annoying. Like visually it was actually very appealing and it makes sense With your poem especially since you mentioned that it was a text poem and you didn't use it as a large unpleasant chunk of caps lock text!
Usually people tend to stick to either capitalizing properly or using lower case. However, since this is a text poem you possibly gathered a bunch of different tone texts that were in different styles, I would understand if you said that It was a stylistic choice because by your friend it would have been. I would say it would make it a lot easier to read however if you used apostrophes with every contraction. Whether lower case or upper case, contractions can be confused pretty easily when they aren't separated with an apostrophe.
It was a lovely poem and it had a very romantic tone. Not so much a 'you're in love with your best friend romantic' though it could could be. To me as a reader it seems very romantic towards the persons life, like the best friend is trying to love life again. And honestly I think that's very beautiful.
Keep writing!
This is gem signing off.
awe thank you for the review!!! yes, it was a stylistic choice - i chose to type the words exactly as she wrote them
You are welcome c:
Hey there! I really enjoyed this poem, and I think it really nicely captures a sense of seasonal depression mixed in with the thoughts of missing someone deeply. I particularly liked how the ending changed the poem from one of sort of despair to one of hope. You're a really great poet and I can't wait to read some more of your work!
structure
[*]The poem consists of 11 stanzas, each with varying numbers of lines. The length of the stanzas creates a sense of fragmentation and disconnection, reflecting the speaker's struggle with their emotions and how much they want the summer and summer rain.
form
The poem is written in free verse, lacking a consistent rhyme scheme or meter. This allowed you to express the emotions more freely throughout the poem and capture the fragmented nature of your thoughts.
imagery
The poem contains some nice and vivid imagery, such as the speaker being "drunk off my ass," "scraped off the floor," and "angelic voice." The use of sensory language creates a strong emotional impact and helps to convey the speaker's inner turmoil, and set the scene for all the things in the poem happening.
some areas for improvement
While the poem effectively conveys emotions, it could perhaps have benefitted from more precise language and greater clarity in some places, just to really home in on these feelings of loneliness and despair and hope. Additionally, some of the stanzas could be more tightly connected to create a stronger sense of flow, as although the fragmented nature of the poem makes sense, some flow would maybe make it easier to read.
thanks so much for the review!! i'll definitely take that into mind
