Indifferent

In Songs

We were just about to last forever.
Nothing would have stopped me,
From breaking this apart again...
If I wanted, I could have had it again.

But you had to go and ruin it.
You stupid boys and your games.
I just couldn't deny it anymore,
To my friends who where against you.

Can you tell why you were there?
Can you tell me why you like her?
Why you whisper in her ears,
All those things you promised me...

What is it about me?
Is it just that I'm not her?
Not popular or pretty,
Enough.
...And all the lies you say again.

CHORUS

Is it just me in your eyes?
Am I reflected a hundred times?
Those butterfly eyes, mirroring me.
How come it's not me,
But her I see a thousand times?

Why is she your Mona Lisa?
Why is she your sun and star?
Why is she your Juliet,
Why is she the one you save?

How come in your eyes I'm indifferent?
How come I'm not even registered?
Why am I just one of a million faces,
When you stare at me every night.

END CHORUS

Don't you see that I still need you?
Even though it hurts me just to smile.
Can't you understand just how much,
I live for you each day, hour, minute, second.

Is the only reason that you don't like me,
Is that my kisses don't give you thrills?
Or the way I dress, the way I try too hard?
Oh baby if you really wanted me,
I would have been the girl you needed.
Forever, and forever, Don't tear me apart!

CHORUS

My main problem with this is that we're obviously working off two different definitions of the word "indifferent". Indifferent means you don't care. You ask if you're indifferent to "you". Well, obviously not, since you wrote a whole song about "you." He might be indifferent to you though.

This was okay, but it didn't strike me as anything special. Keep writing!
