Past the broken window,
Seeing into empty halls,
Shadows of the past are leaking in.
Again...
Curses of the incognito,
Chasing into the parks.
We have gotten closer,
To completly disappear.
I'm sick of all the flood lights.
I'm freezing like a deer.
I don't want to be observed,
Under a microscope, under here.
Because everytime I stare into your eyes,
I forget everything that I ever knew.
I peer down into the deepness,
Of what Alice fell into.
[(CHORUS)]
I'm falling down the rabbit hole,
Past the purple haze of the umbrella.
Into the catipillar and the hatter.
There I go into the roses,
Kings of hearts secretly appear.
[(END CHORUS)]
Of course, one lie will make us taller,
One truth will make us smaller.
A sip will pull us together,
A mushroom will blow us apart.
Closed up from the world,
I'm wondering what I'm waiting for,
Could it be I couldn't see,
Everything's just mediocrocy?
Because everytime I stare into your eyes,
I forget everything that I ever knew.
I peer down into the deepness,
Of what Alice fell into.
[(Chorus)]
Past the broken window,
Seeing into empty halls,
Shadows of the past are leaking in.
Again...

Likewise, I'd die to hear the recording of this song. Not only are the lyrics mesmerizing, but the imagery it invokes, and the sheer random sense! Parodies like this make me enjoy Alice in Wonderland. Your parallelism between a relationship and Alice's story is gorgeous and praiseworthy. I really appreciate how the poetic reminiscence in the verses sort of dwindles down into this netherworld fantasy where the memories and emotions are dealt with. It's almost as if the content of the verses are going down into a hole just like Alice. Brilliant I tell you!
Anyways I think this is an adorable song! I'd really like to hear it recorded! Is there a certain melody it goes to? I really, really, really like the lyrics, you did a really good job writing them. It has a nice flow too.
Great job!
