In Greek Mythology Poetry

Tell them that the great god Pan is dead.

And with him so many parts of nature

That humanity destroyed.

I think I can see the stars

But they're dimmer than they used to be.

Tell them that hope is still there.

We have not given up.

We are satyrs and believe in the power

of trees, animals, the earth.

We and the dryads and the naiads

And the nature spirits of the world

Will go on.

Tell them that we will continue fighting.

I love that this is an inspirational poem when in all honesty, it could be very depressing. There are some small rhythm in the first stanza. It could just be me, but one thing I saw that might help is instead of "that humanity destroyed", it could be "that humanity has destroyed". To me it also reads a little better. Other than that, amazing writing.

All the Best,

I liked it how you started the poem not by telling us Grover's story, but by telling us Grover's most important feelings. I think nature and Pan's destruction really is that important to him, and you make it obvious. The poem isn't mourning the earth though, it's giving us hope! Grover is saying to not give up, to go on and keep fighting. Though I love your poem about Ethan, I love this one better. Just because it goes so much deeper than facts, it's from the heart. If you'd like a suggestion, you could emphasise the last line more by not having it in italics (like the rest of the text). Otherwise, I have no nitpicks. Thanks for tagging me. :D
