Fear of Loneliness

In Poetry

His heart pounds
He fights for breath.
He has been running
Running forever.
No, not running,
Just afraid,
As if he has been running.
His mouth tastes
Of copper, and
His knees are weak
From running
Or not running.
Has he been running?
Or just afraid?
His muscles are tense,
Bunched up,
ready to spring
And start running
Again, forever.
His lungs are closed up,
His breath ragged and shallow.
He pushes off,
Running,
Feet tearing at the ground,
Clawing
Trying to get away from it.
To get away from loneliness.

Nice poem. It seems like you put a lot of emotion into it.

PS: Your signature "Save the earth! It's to only planet with chocolate." is cute, but should "to" be "the".
