Allegro, Crescendo

by carelessaussie13

Accelerando slows to Dolce,
Harmonies blend in dancing rivers
Notes swirl perfectly in rhythm,
Then, in back, a drum beat pounds.
Allegro, crescendo, forte, scherzo,
Eighth notes flicker ‘round each other,
Viola takes a sudden solo,
Rich and full of leaping wonder,
Joined by cello, deep, resounding,
Fills the room with angels singing.
Flute begins with welcome vigor,
Syncopated, mezzo forte,
Brass and woodwind join perfection,
Legato, lento and maestoso.
Fading sound leaves room in silence,
Marred by heavy breathing, finished,
Players rest their weary fingers,
Listening to echoes fade.

Yes, I love the rhythm and the music words. I think you captured orchestra music perfectly.
Nice work. ^_^

I liked the rhythm of this one. One complaint, the last line doesnt seem long enough - I'd rewrite to "Listening to the echoes fade." Otherwise, a nice piece.

Surround yourself with people who are serious about being writers, and who will tell you, ‘Hey—you can do better than this.’ Who will be critical of your work, but also supportive. And who will not be competitive in a negative way.
