You sit on your throne,
O' King of Hearts.
Surrounded by beauty
From above.
Do you see the cracks,
Great King of Hearts?
The wounds they endure
For your love?
.
Oh, he's a wondrous ruler!
He's tamed the wildest hearts.
Cherished his little minions,
Then tore them into parts.
.
Stand on your pedestal,
Valiant King of Hearts.
Grace us commoners
With your gaze.
Raise your chin higher,
O' King of Hearts,
As they crave your
Vicious ways.
.
My, what a worthy leader!
Finding souls too worn to sleep.
Broke them to do his bidding,
Owned to play and keep.
.
You rise in power,
Mighty King of Hearts.
Reach for your
Victim's hands.
You're turned away,
O' Heartless King,
As they find more
Loving land.

This is really quite wonderful. I don't really have any critiques at all. I think the contrasting portrayal of the Kind of Hearts is what captures the poem. He's a wonderful ruler, but destructive to those that obey him. Actually, this relationship (between the King of Hearts and the people) reminds me of a relationship that I've had with someone.
Loved this piece!

Thanks you so much!
hey
this is a great poem but it may need a little bit of work( this is just in my opinion so you don't have to take this in to consideration if you don't want to) so here goes, first of all you may need to fit up ( the personality of your writing its pretty good but its missing things) and im not sure if im getting the right reading of it (this is in my opinion so you don't have to listen) to me this is a great poem I hope you continue writing poems and improving some day you may even have people write about it so good luck with your poem writting
Of course I'll take your comments into consideration! :0 if I want to improve, I need to do so. I understand where you're coming from, but what do you mean by "fit up?" As in, my mechanics, word usage, voice, style? I love constructive criticism
and thank you!
Hey I am firstly going to say this, I really like this poem!

I like the idea of this great and valiant, yet heartless king character, it's a great use of opposites (that's what I shall call it)
I also like the way that the king of hearts is described as being worthy and brilliant, despite the fact he's tearing people apart! Again it's a great use of opposites (that's what I call it)
This is a good poem, and I am definitely going to read your other works
Great work!!
Wow. Thanks!!
this is good but i cant help but feel like its a little disconnected, but i really like the way you are mocking, praising and warning at the same time, i am a little confused in whether your trying to talk about the personality or the actions of the king of hearts, but this is really good but you can do better cause i am not able to get a clear message out of this poem maybe you could be more specific on what your trying to say the last stanza is somewhat of a puzzle to me
You rise in power,
Mighty King of Hearts.
Reach for your
Victim's hands.
You're turned away,
O' Heartless King,
As they find more
Loving land.
like i really couldn't make out what you were trying to say but this poem is still good and i feel that its also really full of hate.
The last stanza meant that this so-called "King" wouldn't rule over those people forever. They'll find someone right for them, someday. The King represents someone who plays with hearts and thrives off of his hold over them. Thank you!!
