I don’t think the weak
Are the ones that cry,
For there are some who don’t say
What they really imply.
~
They tell me to open up,
That I can relent,
That the screaming inside me,
Is what I can vent.
~
They say I’m overreacting,
That there will always be aid,
And if I need a helping hand
I won’t be dismayed.
~
But they don’t always listen
Or notice or care,
When I try without words
It’s like I’m not really there.
~
They make a joke out of sadness,
Of what I cannot express,
So then they wonder why my secrets
I choose not to confess.
~
For there are some things that one
simply cannot explain,
Like why the ignorance of others
Will always cause pain.
~
So when you listen to my words
And wonder why I do speak,
Think of the screams
That come from the weak.

I liked this piece. It very nicely puts into words the damage people can do to others without even thinking about it, through their carelessness. I especially liked the fourth stanza, it seemed to sum up the idea of the poem quite well. As far as criticism goes, the punctuation was rather intermittent and confusing, to me at least. Other than that, a strong piece.
I thought that this poem was nicely written and was very emotional. I could sort of feel the emotions that you were feeling when you were writing this poem. It sounded like you were talking about the rudeness, and the cruelty about how other people can be. This really was a poem that expressed true emotion and showed what social life can really be like. Obviously I relate to the morals of this poem. Keep on writing, never stop.
Hello there.
I do not know if this is a mistake or just a style that you are using in which you put comma after each line. In some cases you really need this comma to pause in that moment and make us stop but in others (like in the very beginning) it makes no sense. I do not think that this is something negative if this the style you are working with. This is that way because this is the first work of yours that I am reading. I think this deserves the read and the review that may be kind of pointless after all. I have no complains and I am kind of impressed because I can come up with such a good rhyme there. Very good put of deep feelings of terror and helplessness.
Keep on working and hope you get more reviews!
Hi GreatKing! Thanks for the review and for telling me about the commas. I do this mistake a lot in my poetry (which isn't good) so thank you for pointing it out. I tried to fix it but it's probably not perfect. XD
Thank you for the helpful review!
