In Songs

I don't really know what I think of this. Just... blehhhhh.

Like the young flower buds of spring,
like the early morning song birds sing,
like blades of grass glimmering with dew,
my heart has moved to something new.

As the summer petals start to grown
and the colours of rebirth begin to show,
I know now that I’m over you
and that my heart has moved to something new.

Ring the belles, it’s another day
pour out the thoughts of yesterday

With stitches down it’s spine,
my heart’s a book left to define.
Now protected from the rain,
trouble, torture, lies and pain
don’t exist, won’t exist
on its pages again.

Broken promises left to fall
like the trunks of trees so tall
dying, rotting and fading away
like the memories of you, today.

Left lying on a dusty shelf
is the wrong you’ve caused yourself,
covered in cobwebs, fading away
like the memories of you, today.

Ring the bells, it’s another day
pour out the thoughts of yesterday

With stitches down it’s spine,
my heart’s a book left to define.
Now protected from the rain,
trouble, torture, lies and pain
don’t exist, won’t exist
on it’s pages again.

Ring the bells, it’s another day,
these pages will be filled the proper way

With stitches down its spine,
my heart’s a book left to define.
Now protected from the rain,
trouble, torture, lies and pain
don’t exist, won’t exist
on its pages again.

Trouble, torture, lies and pain
don’t exist, won’t exist
on its pages again.

Hi :)
I thought this was excellent! Really fun to read, I especially liked the parts that kept repeating, giving it a nice pattern :) I also like the idea behind it, I thought it went really with with the tone of the song. My only complaint would be that in the first two stanzas, the metaphors are a little cliche or overused... but who knows, to music that might not even bug me. Great work!
My favourite part was the second last paragraph
