It's been a while since I've done this,
actually sat at the computer and did something besides homework.
I thought that I had killed the writer in me, and that she would never come back again.
I was wrong.
I scared myself for a while there, and I scared some pretty good people.
I feel really guilty for that.
But I should have known better. I should have known that words wouldn't just leave be alone
to drown in my sorrow.
I should have known that I was strong enough to pull out of that darkness.
Because I was, and I did, and hopefully I will never get that low again.
The thought that I might really scares me.
I've got some new scars now. At first I hated them, but now they remind me of what I went through
to get here, to this place.
I may not be happy like I was when I was a kid, but I'm okay.

Wow, this poem voiced the similar experience I had. This left me breathless. Although to some people it may seem simplistic, it's perfectly powerful in its prose. I love the language you used to convey your emotions. So stunning! Lovely work, KnightTeen! I'm sure there's something that can be done to make this poem just as powerful, but I personally have no suggestions on how that can happen
It is a little sad.The title of the poem said that it was all okay but it felt extremely sad. But it had a great story line! I hope that you really are okay. I like the part about never being low again it makes me happy that you believe in yourself. Never forget that writing is a part of most people, and that you are great at it. I think that the apology in the poem is nice.
Keep up the great writing!
Hello Tuesday here for a review. I like to begin that this poem made me think since it made me wonder how I could have been placed in this situation as of how I am upset or how I could control my feelings as a person. Plus i would believe that some people could relate since whenever they would get sad or mad or anything, they wondered what is there to life or why everyone hates them. I enjoyed the tone of this which could be pleading or wanting to escape the pain of what had been inside of you.
this stanza seems a bit choppy (to me that is) since you could rearrange some of the words in here to make more a sense to the reader who could be reading this. Because I was, and hopefully I will never get that low again [/quote] since if you take out -I did it seems more less of a point you are trying to make (if that makes sense) also I would try to change low into a synonym of low.Nitpick(s):
I would add a common after -I since it would need a small pause or a breath for when the reader is reading this. [b] The thought that I might, really scares me also I would (a suggestion) change -really scares (which seems plain) to -frightens or something similar.
Overall, I would say that this is a poem that i would read again and this also reminds me of my friend who went through depression and cut herself (that was due to her dad dying and she felt horrible for it.) Also, like I said above, I enjoyed the tone of which could be of pleading (in the beginning) to understanding (at the end) plus I enjoyed how you stated that you hate the scars you have on your arms yet they show the pain you went through just to get to the place you are.
Farewell,
Tuesday
Oh the feels. The feels that make me sad . . oh you horrid person, making me sad this late at night, what a great poem! Of course though, this is a review therefore, I will begin my traditional nit picking of the grammar of this poem. Like Brandi101 said before me, the feels are good, good enough that the fact the layout is kind of awkward can almost be ignored, but this is a review therefore, the layout is awkward. I would recommend blending your sentences together to make it less choppy. Other than that, kutos for an amazing work!
Hi! Brandi101 here for a quick review!
This poem really touched my heart, and I have no idea why! I am really happy that you decided to write again, even though this is the first work of yours that I have read.
Now for the review...
I thought that this poem was touching with the content, but the way it was laid out was almost awkward. I have never read a poem where the sentence abruptly cuts off to continue to the next line. And, I prefer a little rhyme in the poems that I read. But, overall it was really good.
Thanks,
Brandi101
