Ah! I like this! I started reading and was like, eh.. but then I kept reading and was like, yeah!.
I like, what's it called, parasyndeton?, where you leave out conjunctions. You do a lot of this here, a lot of what could be called fragments. And at first that's what bothered me, but then you had the line about Loneliness being an and. And suddenly it was like the poem itself is lonely. I mean, the poem is writing about lonely people and what lonely means, and then you define it as and, and yet throughout the poem you don't say and except for that part. Like, the entire poem is lonely, which is beautiful!
However, I think that the poem was also overly choppy. You have really short sentences, which make it a little bit hard to read, especially when coupled with the missing ands. I don't know about you, but when I feel lonely I usually feel more like things draw on. So my lonely sentences would probably be longer because when I feel alone I feel like things just go on and on and don't stop when they should. Of course, this is entirely up to you.
I also think you should elaborate more on the loneliness is good, loneliness is bad thing. I mean, say it's good, and then go into detail about why it's good. Then bring up the fact that it's bad and tell us why.
And, of course, you could always go back and work on that beginning, since I wasn't drawn in at once, like I should be. I want to be hooked right from the start, and I wasn't. See if you can find a way to change that.
Alright, that's all. Hope this helped!
Hey I'm here to review your poem.
So it was good. you captivated what loneliness meant nicely and in an interesting way.
Your style is interesting and different.
One thing I would suggest is maybe just make things a bit clearer. There were some lines that I had to read twice to make sense of them, not because the topic didn't make sense but because of the way it was written.
I loved the last part, it really came together there and the theme of it was really clear and well done.
Especially the second last stanza.
Anyway this is pretty good. The only thing I didn't get was that 'it's and'
it seemed as if it was just thrown in there with out any reason. I think you could take that out also the next line after that one 'loneliness is and' again it feels like it has just been thrown in.
Apart from that it is a nice poem and really interesting and it makes you think.
Hope this helps a bit.
