It's been one of those days again.
One of those that make me want to cut,
to just watch the blood drip.
But I made a promise to you,
I made a promise to a lot of people.
Problem is, I have broken this very promise,
and more than once, I'm ashamed to say.
Except this time is different because of you.
You give me reasons not to.
You push the suicidal thoughts out of my head.
The blade is calling to me,
beckoning and begging for me to cut.
I know I am not supposed to answer the calls,
but it's been one of those days.
And I can't stop myself.
I grab the blade and I'm gone,
off to the only secure place I know.
The mirror is foggy now,
and tears stream down my face.
I'm sorry, I'm so sorry.
I slip into the heated water,
and let it wrap around me like a comforting blanket.
The blade starts clicking upwards,
God, I hate myself for missing that sound.
Blood stops the self-hatred.
But something stops me before I begin.
I see beautiful blue eyes with flickers of gold,
I see adorable dimples that drive me crazy,
I see this absolutely amazing guy,
he is the reason I drop the blade.
He is the reason I stopped.
It seems he stopped me just in time too,
because I was about to make a huge mistake.
I can't risk losing someone so incredible.
I love him, nothing more to it.
Wow such a nice poem!! So much expression and emotions!! They flow out of the poem and touch our hearts!
Also you could alter some stuffs abit to give it a smooth flow...as right now the flow and all are somehow edgy...this is so overwhelming type of a poem that it needs color! Thats what is missing here. Anyways keepup the good work!
So much emotion that it looks like as if you have experienced something related to this bevause of which you were able to get varried away while writing this...the emotional high comes rather in a quick manner...would have been awesome if it would have been relatively slower...also the poem has so much description..I advice you make the lines longer so that even if you add lines the poem would not look bad!
Ok so firstly WOW! This poem is rather full on and full of emotion.
I can see clearly what's happening in my head and it was really sad and heartelt.
Although this poem is full of emotion I feel as if it is lacking in something.
I think it is the flow and language used. While you have used some really good language to me it is a bit incosistant and not as powerful as it could be.
I think the weakest stanza is the last one and it's slightly disappointing because it should make me swell with so many different emotions.
I'm not sure how you could fix it and since this is such as personal poem I don't want to give you any suggestions, but try working on flow and cadence (how the poem sounds).
This is great and has so fantastic potential! Work on it a bit and it'll be brilliant.
So lastly all I have to say is I hope you get through this and that feel free to message me anytime you want to talk.
Keep writing

I do agree with my last stanza, I am going to have to work on it a little more a review it some. Thanks
*sniff*
Wow, that's got a lot of emotion in it and I can kind of tell where the poem is coming from. Also, I can clearly see in my head what is happening, so I can understand the poem much more when I can do that. I love it when I come across a piece with such raw emotion in it, the last time a piece of writing nearly made me cry was when Dobby died in Harry Potter. Not really relevent I know, just saying how big an imapact your piece was to me. Keep writing and stay strong!
