Life isn't fair.
I knew this from the beginning.
But I never expected this.
Thirteen new cuts,
running down my legs.
Anorexia creeps in,
and whispers to Sadness,
"How much damage this time?"
And it answers back in a sly voice,
"A good bit, but not enough."
My heart is always silent now,
as if someone took it's voice away.
And maybe someone did,
just snuck right in,
made it feel safe, secure.
But in the end,
was only there for one thing.
Seems like they got it,
because they are gone.
Just like everyone else.
Life isn't fair.
Anger flares up,
scaring Anxiety,
sending me into an attack.
Sadness and Anorexia laugh.
I start to cry, choking on screams.
Sadness calls out,
and Depression answers.
For it is never far away.
I feel cornered and trapped.
I try to run but get no where,
I have to silence them,
once and for all.
Life isn't fair.
I reach out for my box cutter,
my favorite yellow one.
They are all shouting now,
screaming for me to do it.
I wait to hear something,
anything! Happiness? Love?
They disappeared long ago.
Chocked out by Depression.
Courage is on the enemy team now,
Bravery doesn't know what to do.
Doubt, Envy, Frustration, Shame,
Guilt, and Disappointment creep in.
I can't wait for a savior any longer,
the cold blade touches my warm skin,
sending chills up my spine.
As it slips in deeper and deeper,
Relief sinks into the scene.
Blood is now dripping from my wrist.
Everyone falls silent as I keep going.
Maybe Shock and Wonder came in too.
I can't stop myself from digging into my flesh,
the blood is flowing out faster now.
I hear Sadness whisper to Depression,
"What is she doing? Does she want to die?"
Depression watches closely,
and answers back loudly,
"Is she carving 'I'm free' into her?"
Everyone gasps as I collapse to the floor.
But it doesn't stop me,
I keep going until I can't hold my arm up.
By then the blood is surrounding me.
I can't hear anyone anymore.
I have never felt this way before.
I don't know what it is,
Bliss? Maybe, I don't even care.
I feel amazing as I close my eyes for the last time,
finally free from this life.
Because life isn't fair.
I loved this, it's very powerful and feels like it comes from the heart. I'm glad you shared it. I thought personifying the different emotions flying around at a time like that was a brilliant device, especially the way that positive emotions are referred to almost like long lost friends:

"Happiness? Love?
They disappeared long ago."
Very nice. In all honesty I don't think there's anything to improve here, you capture a moment of madness and draw out the elements of such a moment in a captivating way. It flows well, the stanza placement is good.
Generally very good, well done
Helllo BrokenSkye.
But I hope this takes it from great to perrfecct! Hope you don't mind!
I love this poem. This just truly hit my heart. I really loved how the emotions were put as nouns, instead of an adjective.
But one thing you could try to do better is maybe put some lines by themselves to make them have more meaning. An example would be the very first line:
"Life isn't fair.
I knew this from the beginning."
It would give this line more impact for the reader. Also, this part: "I wait to hear for something,
anything, Happiness? Love?" I think you meant, "I wait to hear something, anything! Happiness? Love?" Just a technical punctuation error there.
"And maybe someone did,
just snuck right in,
made it feel safe and secure." I think in this part, you should take away the "and" because then it would make the sentence a run-on. Plus, it isn't really needed.
This poem didn't really need anything, it was great!

Thanks! I will change that right now, I don't see how I missed that error!
