A/N: The last stanza was meant to have a different rhyme pattern to it, not to be the same.
I may not hear
out of each ear,
but that doesn't mean
everything's so unseen.
~
So I can't hear you,
yes, it's true.
It's not all bad, though,
which I've learned long ago.
~
Just cause people stare at me,
doesn't mean I can't see.
I want to make it clear,
that I only can't hear.
~
I am not blind,
please keep in mind.
I am just special,
is what you'll find.

This poem felt personal to me. You accurately portrayed the thoughts of a hearing-impaired person. It outlines people’s opinion about the disability and that evokes sympathy for the speaker. To me, the poem reflected that they are proud of being deaf and see it as part of their identity. It’s simple yet powerful and engaging. It flows naturally and the rhyming scheme appears effortless. Amazing work! I don’t have any improvements to suggest. Well done, and keep writing!
I really like your theme. I can feel the pride of hearing-impaired people and how they feel about being the attention of others in your stanzas. Also, I feel 'I cannot hear, but I can see' is repeatedly conveyed in most of the stanzas. With some more details, it would go very well. I think the review is not much helpful. I hope I can give you more suggestions on your future works. Well done. Keep writing
Yes, I wanted to make the reader feel like the deaf person wanted to really remind you that they are deaf and that it is fine. I might fix it in the future, though.
Hello!! its Bam for a review! Sorry gotta be quick and straight to the point today. Sorry!! first things first is i love how you didn't over do your poem. Not too much detail, but at the same time just what you you need. I also like that you did stanzas. Not a lot of people do that anymore
"everything's so unseen." ok, so i just thought maybe you should change unseen to a different word because your talking about being deaf not seeing. Unless you mean figure of speech of course. If it is figure of speech maybe add something to kinda show that it is.
"So I can't hear you,
yes, it's true.
It's not all bad, though,
which I've learned long ago."
I don't think the last line goes too well with what your trying to say. Maybe change that and it will make this sound so much better.
"I want to make it clear,
that I can't hear."
Only thing i have to say is add only between I and can't. Sounds a lot better
I really like the last one.
I think that is my favorite. I would have add instead of "Is what you'll find." i would have said "as you've heard". Just cause he can't hear and they can. So they would be talking about him. They cant say he is special with their eyes.
Thanks so much for your review, I'll change some of the stuff you mentioned! I disagree to some of what you said, but everyone has their own opinions.
