She's the one you pass by on the street,
the one you sit next to in class,
the one who gets laughed at every day while you sit idly by saying nothing.
He's the one who gets called a fag,
the one who get pushed down on the floor and pushed around,
and yet again you sit and watch.
She"s the one who's had enough.
She brings a gun to school,
deterined that no more will she be the one left out.
She walks in the room where all her pain will end,
pulls out the gun and raised it to her head.
She said "i will no longer be a burden to society, i will end my worthless life."
You go up and say, "no don"t!" but its already too late.
She looks at you and says, with a cold dead voice, "Since when have you cared?"
In that second a life is ended, because you waited to long.
The boy walks in the class, determined to do the same.
A life was lost already,
what are you to do?
This is a poem you finish yourself,
what would you do?

I really like this. I almost actually answered the question at the end. This is my review. Far too many people actually realize that something like this, this mere poem on a website like this one, this literature of magnificance, this could save a life. This could be that deciding factor for someone who is having thoughts of being that girl in this poem, or that boy in this poem. It was written so that you see what it is that these two characters are feeling and so that you feel as they were feeling (at least I do). I was that girl in the beginning of this year, I was teased. I've been this girl many more times than I can count. Had I had this then, maybe things would've cleared my head. Something like this changed my mind this year, and I don't know what I'd do without a poem like this. So thank you, because you not only have opened my eyes to how others must have felt when I tried to be that cold, lifeless body, but you have also given me a piece of my sanity back because even though I did go to counseling and I haven't thought suicide in almost 6 months, I am missing pieces of who I was before my life changed. My writing. This has proven to me that I cn move on from being that girl. ONce more, thank you from the bottom of my heart.

your welcome. :) it's good to know i helped someone. i was also teased when i was younger, on my first day at a new school in a new state. but as i grew up i slowly began to realize i wasn't alone and decided i wasn't going to be like "them" i was going to try to help anyone who is hurting.

This is really moving! At first, the meaning of this poem is unclear. I was unsure if this was going to be a love poem. However, sometimes a bit of uncertainty at the beginning keeps the reader interested. The reader wants to know what the poem is about. I also love the title. It is thought provoking and it really sums up the meaning of this poem. Not trying to be nit-picky, but there are a couple of comma and capitalization errors (totally fixable). This is definitely a narrative poem because it tells a story. However, try to make this story even more gripping and poetic by incorporating bigger vocabulary words and metaphors. Keep it up!
