Quest: Write your Intro Post!



Welcome to Lux Academy, Darksbane-to-be! Here at Lux Academy, we have plenty to do and see during your intro posts, whether you come here by car, by public transport within the city, by ship through the river, by the elaborate train system across the country, or by airship, we welcome you all the same!

The Welcoming Ceremony for Initiates begin later in the evening, because the real festivities begin the next morning! The day begins with a tour for Darksbane-to-be and family, which is optional.

During the tour, you'll be able to glimpse into the rich past of Lux Academy as you explore the grounds. You'll be taken to see the training grounds first to explore our state-of-the-art battlegrounds and sparring fields. Then, you'll be guided on over to the Base of Operations, the newest addition to Lux Academy with technology brought in our friends in Whyndsor. After that, the tour goes into the main Lux Hall, underneath the great Lux Tree. After that, you'll get a walktrhough of the dormitories before we end the tour at the historic Geleroe, Statikk, Keleoy, and Marcca Halls, where you'll get a glimpse of the depth of learning that goes on beyond the Academy's walls.

After the tour is over, the Darksbane-to-be and their families will be guided out to the front courtyard just before Lux Hall, where they'll be signed in, their belongings taken to their respective dormitories, and they say their goodbyes to their families.

After being checked in, all Darksbane-to-be will be guided to the Great Hall, where a light evening snack will be provided, and mingling is encouraged. Then, all Darksbane-to-be will have a sleepover in the Great Hall to prepare for their big day tomorrow! If you have any questions, please direct them to the Lux Academy Staff.

Note: A Darksbane-to-be will be asked at check-in to document any weapons and armor they have brought with them, and will be asked to pull them to the side for initiation purposes. They will also be asked in writing if they have any severe allergies or fears.

Quest: Write your Intro Post! or Write your Next Post!

Now that some of the students are in the Great Hall, the next post that furthers the story will be from Chite's POV where Headmistress Odessa will give a little speech welcoming the students and explaining the situation before initiation the next day. In this, she encourages them to get well rested.

For those already in the Great Hall, your next post can be about the sleepover! In this, I recommend trying to collab with other characters ^^ and maybe bring in an NPC or too if you'd like ^^ When not writing a post, I'll be in the pad brainstorming some NPC initiates.

If we get past the sleepover and people are still itching to write, the next post will be from Chite's POV about the (very) early morning after, when initiates start waking up and are being ushered outside for a bit of a walk to the start of initiation.

In order to get these thrilling games off the dirt and onto their feet, we need characters! I've given you around 21 days in hopes that you create characters that aren't rushed, so they can go through some trauma and/or character development!

Initiation has begun!

Although Headmistress Odessa said she won't give instructions, thankfully this RP Quest is designed to give you instructions on how initiation will go.

Intitiation Starts by dumping the initiates down the cliff-wall to the forest below. Everyone starts in a different location against the cliff wall. The obsidian door is very tall and can be seen from almost everywhere from the forest if one can get past the canopy of dense trees.

Your goal: Find your key to the door and open the obsidian door.

Notes:
-The keys are located on the other end of the forest, in a clearing.
-Each key is composed of two key parts. You can only hold one. (Try to hold both and it will hurt)
-You'll need to partner up to get out of initiation. How that happens is up to you, but make sure to find someone you can collab easily with (like those who attend the same write in!)
-In the forest there are traps and Voidborn, so expect a fight!

Initiation is expected to last about 5 posts per character/collab.
