I'm so tired of researching war. why is my history course all about war. can't I do history assignments on like. that one time a guy made a sexy Satan statue and the church asked his brother to make a less sexy statue and he made a sexier statue instead. that's the history I'm interested in. not more frickin war

like. this is my fault for not marking my availability properly. but this has also happened before and I've mentioned to my supervisors that Thursdays are permanently unavailable for me. you'd think at this point something would click.

trying to write a personal response to text responding to essays about writing is difficult when all the essays are talking about how their childhood affected them and their development and why they write and all that and your answers to questions like "why do you write" and "to what extent do you draw on your own childhood memories when writing" are basically "because I want to be anyone other than myself and anywhere other than where I am" and "well I certainly draw on the childhood memories of being an Eldest Child and ignored in favour of my siblings and never feeling good enough for my mother" because I have to hand this in to my mother and I don't feel like bringing up awkward topics such as those at the moment
